Über diese Software Engineer II, Full Stack: ERP, Intranet & Internal Platforms Stelle bei Amperesand
Company Overview
Amperesand is reinventing how the world powers its most critical systems.
We are facing a once-in-a-generation opportunity for infrastructure disruption. Electricity demand is skyrocketing, driven by AI factories, electric vehicles, and modern industrial growth. Energy supply is shifting to incorporate a more diverse mix of resources – including solar, gas, and batteries – at a massive scale.
And yet the power infrastructure behind our latest mega-projects hasn’t meaningfully changed in nearly 100 years. Supply chains for today’s infrastructure equipment can’t match the pace and sophistication of critical energy projects. Amperesand is building hardware and software that rewrites this broken power infrastructure playbook to support a new era of energy abundance.
We’ve built a new class of intelligent, software-defined power infrastructure products leveraging a decade of advanced medium voltage Solid State Transformer research that’s now ready for commercial deployment.
Our products and solutions go far beyond the capabilities of traditional electrical equipment. We make power systems that are faster to deploy, dramatically smaller and more efficient, and capable of supporting modern, dynamic energy needs for tomorrow’s most demanding energy consumers.
Scalable in-house advanced manufacturing capability is our foundation for meeting timeline and quality expectation to serve infrastructure customers around the world.
Amperesand is led by breakthrough energy hardware development veterans and funded by top tier investors who share our vision of building a category-defining energy technology company.
With hubs in San Francisco, Reno, and Singapore, our global team is laser focused on building foundational technology to solve the most pressing problems in power infrastructure at scale.
Join us in building the power foundation of the future!
Role Summary
This role is an opportunity to grow as an engineer alongside a high-agency startup team operating in the hard-tech and energy systems space. You will build features across the full stack of Amperesand’s ERP platform, company intranet, and the internal tools our manufacturing, supply chain, and corporate teams use every day.
This is a hands-on, build-focused role. You will implement backend services and the React and TypeScript interfaces that sit on top of them, working on well-scoped features with support and mentorship from senior engineers. The work covers ERP domains such as inventory, procurement, work orders, and reporting, alongside intranet capabilities such as employee directories, document and knowledge management, internal workflows, and self-service tools — with opportunities to contribute to AI-assisted features as they roll out. You will be expected to take ownership of your work, ask good questions, and grow steadily toward independently owning larger pieces of the platform. You will also help support our existing software products in production — fixing bugs, handling requests from internal stakeholders and customers, and making steady improvements to the tools people rely on daily. This is a fast-paced environment, and we are looking for a go-getter who takes initiative, moves with urgency, and is willing to put in the hard work to see things through. AI features are a growing part of this roadmap, and you will get hands-on experience building them into real products — from retrieval and prompting through to the interface — alongside senior and AI team engineers.
Responsibilities
- Implement full stack features across Amperesand’s ERP platform, intranet, and internal operational tools, with guidance from senior engineers on architecture and scope.
- Build backend services and APIs in Go that support manufacturing, supply chain, and enterprise business workflows.
- Build responsive and accessible web interfaces in React and TypeScript, including forms, tables, dashboards, and internal workflow screens.
- Contribute to ERP capabilities such as inventory management, procurement, work order tracking, and enterprise reporting.
- Contribute to intranet features such as employee directories, document and knowledge management, internal announcements, approval and request workflows, and self-service portals.
- Support integrations with internal systems such as identity and SSO providers, HR systems, document storage, and collaboration tools.
- Build AI-powered features into our ERP and intranet products — such as natural-language search over company knowledge, document summarization, data extraction from forms and documents, and assistant-style helpers embedded in existing workflows.
- Implement the supporting pieces behind those features: retrieval and embedding pipelines, integrations with LLM provider APIs, prompt templates, and the frontend patterns that present AI output clearly and honestly to users.
- Help make AI features production-ready — handling errors and slow responses, adding citations back to source records, respecting user permissions on retrieved data, and testing output quality before release.
- Learn from senior and AI team engineers as you take on more of this work, and bring your own ideas for where AI could remove manual effort for our teams.
- Support and maintain our existing ERP, MES, and intranet software products in production — investigating reported issues, fixing bugs, and delivering enhancements requested by internal stakeholders and customers, including issues raised from the shop floor.
- Respond to stakeholder and customer questions about the tools you work on, and help translate their feedback into concrete improvements.
- Write clear, well-tested, maintainable code and participate actively in code reviews.
- Help debug, monitor, and improve services in production, including responding to issues and improving observability.
- Work with product, design, and domain teams to clarify requirements and turn them into working software.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude to improve your velocity and code quality.
- Document what you build so teammates and cross-functional stakeholders can pick it up.
- Continuously grow your technical depth through mentorship, design discussions, and increasing ownership over time.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping web applications to production.
- Working experience across both backend and frontend development, or strong depth on one side with genuine interest in growing into the other.
- Experience with a typed backend language — Go preferred; experience in Go, Java, TypeScript/Node, Rust, or similar with willingness to work in Go is welcome.
- Experience building web interfaces with React and TypeScript.
- Solid fundamentals in REST or gRPC API design, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, and version control with Git.
- Experience with databases and data systems such as PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Redis, or similar technologies, including schema design and query optimization.
- Experience with, or exposure to, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) — building, extending, integrating with, or supporting manufacturing or shop-floor software.
- Familiarity with core MES concepts such as work order and routing execution, electronic travelers and work instructions, WIP and production tracking, operator and station interfaces, and shop-floor data collection.
- Understanding of quality and traceability basics in manufacturing software — in-process inspections, non-conformances, serialization, and unit genealogy — or a strong interest in learning them.
- Interest in MES-to-ERP integration, including how work orders, BOMs, inventory movements, and production status flow between systems.
- Understanding of testing practices and a habit of writing tests alongside code.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and containerized deployment such as AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Comfortable working with AI coding tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar tools to supplement and accelerate development.
- Some hands-on exposure to building with LLM or AI APIs — for example retrieval-augmented search, summarization, or structured extraction — or a clear interest and demonstrated aptitude for picking it up quickly.
- Willingness to learn retrieval, prompting, and evaluation techniques, and to think critically about when AI output is accurate and trustworthy enough to ship.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to ask questions and seek feedback.
- Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment — a self-starter and go-getter who takes initiative, moves quickly, and is willing to put in the hard work required to ship.
- Comfortable switching between new feature work and supporting live systems as priorities shift.
- Proficiency in English and ability to communicate effectively with wider teams.
