Introduction to the Team:

The GOS/FPAS team owns the offer details, pricing and availability layer of Expedia Group's Air shopping stack. Gulfstream Details Service (GOS) and Flights Pricing & Availability Service (FPAS) sit on the critical path between the shopping experience (Flight Info Site, BEX API, EWS, checkout) and our supply partners (Amadeus, Sabre, NDC, Farelogix, TravelFusion). When a traveler selects a flight, our services confirm that it's bookable and correctly priced. That makes our work directly tied to conversion, price accuracy and booking reliability.

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software that delivers reliable, accessible, and intuitive customer experiences.
• Translate product requirements into scalable technical solutions using modern software development technologies and sound engineering practices.
• Contribute to low-level system design, API design, and data modeling to support maintainable, resilient, and secure applications.
• Own features or components through design, implementation, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and operational support.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, design, and other technical teams to deliver outcomes and apply your expertise across multiple problem spaces.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions that improve product and engineering outcomes, applying foundational AI/ML concepts to real-world products and workflows.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience owning features or components within a service or application from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and support.
• Proficiency in software development, API integration, data modeling, version control, automated testing, debugging, and production support.
• Familiarity with low-level system design and developing maintainable, reliable, secure, and operationally resilient software solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience delivering software products at scale with a focus on performance, accessibility, usability, security, and operational excellence.
• Demonstrated ability to make data-driven technical decisions, diagnose complex issues, and improve the reliability and maintainability of production applications.
• Experience contributing to architecture and design decisions across multiple services or technical domains while collaborating effectively with partner teams.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools or applying AI/ML concepts to improve product capabilities, engineering workflows, or customer outcomes.
• Experience safely integrating, monitoring, and operating AI/ML-enabled features within software applications, with attention to reliability, governance, and measurable impact.
