Who We Are
Hi! We’re AntiSocial, a social-first digital marketing agency powered by people who love to create. Our work spans industries and disciplines, from conceptual campaigns and strategic media plans to creator partnerships, influencer strategies, and content production for leading brands around the world. As part of the Thinkingbox family, we bring creativity, collaboration, and innovation to everything we do. At AntiSocial, you’ll join a diverse and talented team that delivers bold campaigns and innovative solutions for some of the world’s top brands. Our culture is one of collaboration, creativity, and connection. Whether it’s brainstorming with colleagues, hanging out with our office dogs, or enjoying monthly events, we keep our work environment vibrant, inclusive, and fun.
The Opportunity
AntiSocial is looking for a Social Editor & Shooter to join our Toronto team. This is a hands-on, social-first creative production role for someone who knows how to capture great footage, edit quickly, and turn ideas into content that feels native to the platform it lives on.
We’re not looking for a traditional content creator or someone who wants to be in front of the camera. We’re looking for someone who thrives behind the camera and in editing – someone with a strong visual eye, an instinct for social culture, and the ability to take content from shoot to final cut.
You’ll work closely with our creative, strategy, social, and production teams to create everything from quick-turn TikToks and Reels to campaign content, event coverage, interviews, branded social series, and reactive content, while mentoring the team on production best practices and workflows.
What You’ll Be Doing
Shoot and edit social-first content for platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other emerging channels
Own content from capture through post-production, including shooting, editing, colour, sound, graphics, captions, and final delivery
Translate creative concepts, briefs, and social strategies into engaging visual content
Create quick-turn, platform-native edits that feel current without simply chasing trends
Capture people, products, events, environments, and cultural moments in an authentic and visually compelling way
Direct talent and subjects on set to get natural, engaging performances
Work across both polished campaign content and more lo-fi, reactive social content
Adapt existing campaign assets into social-first edits and cutdowns
Collaborate with creatives, strategists, producers, account teams, and community/social teams
Contribute ideas for formats, treatments, transitions, hooks, storytelling approaches, and content series
Stay close to evolving social platforms, editing styles, visual trends, music, internet culture, and creator-led formats
Manage multiple projects and quick timelines while maintaining a strong creative standard
Help build and evolve the visual language of our clients’ social channels
What You'll Bring
Experience shooting and editing social, branded content, digital content, or similar work
A portfolio or reel that demonstrates strong shooting and editing skills
Strong understanding of what makes content work on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other social platforms
Excellent editing instincts, including pacing, storytelling, hooks, music, sound design, and transitions
Comfortable shooting with professional cameras as well as phones and lightweight social production setups
Proficiency with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro; experience with After Effects, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools is a plus
Strong eye for composition, lighting, framing, and visual storytelling
Comfortable directing people who may not be professional on-camera talent
Able to work quickly and independently while collaborating closely with a broader creative team
Comfortable working across different content styles, brands, industries, and audiences
Curious about social culture and constantly paying attention to how content and storytelling are evolving online
You Might Be A Great Fit If You
You’re the person who watches a Reel and notices the edit, the framing, the sound choice, and why the first two seconds worked.
You’re equally comfortable grabbing a camera and shooting something from scratch as you are taking a folder of footage and finding the story in the edit.
You understand that great social content doesn’t always need to look like a commercial — but it does need to feel intentional.
And while you’re comfortable working with creators and talent, you don’t need to be the person in front of the camera.
