Your role and responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to collaborate in conjunction with the Sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology. Each day, you will determine costs, prepare final documentation, and serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by performing lost proposal analysis, identifying potential cause, and recommending future actions.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:

• Supporting the local Sales organization and customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers.
• Preparing / supporting in the preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, local business/feeder factory indications, and Sales organization directives.
• Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers through information from general market and the Sales organization.
• Overseeing overall profitability for the proposed solution to the sales organization.
• Ensure world-class technical and commercial support for internal and external customers across multiple markets and countries and drive sales growth, monitor business results, and enable countires in your assigned area to successfully sell our Low Voltage and Medium Voltage product portfolio, whilst overseeing estimations, bids, and proposals ensuring alignment with ABB standards, commercial targets, and Operational Results (OR) KPIs.
• Develop and implement the local sales support strategy aligned with ABB Electrification Service (ELSE) global vision; monitor, review, and adjust approach to ensure continuous improvement and market competitiveness.
• Monitor project pipeline, identify sales opportunities, remove blockers, drive enablement initiatives for LV and MV product portfolio in your assigned area.

Qualifications for the role

• Expertise in LV & MV electrical product portfolios and the electrification/electrical distribution market; or equivalent circuit breakers, switchgear, and retrofit solutions.
• Degree in Engineering or related field is preferred.
• Adept with sales enablement tools, CRM platforms (SAP, Salesforce, or equivalent), and project pipeline management methodologies; experience with multi-country sales coordination and international market dynamics.
• You are passionate about teamworking, strategic thinking, you are captivated by driving sales growth, solving complex customer challenges through innovative sales approaches.
• You are fluent in Italian and English; proficiency in additional European languages (German, French, Spanish) is a plus.
• You demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Compensation Package 

As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico  

Minimum annual salary: € 36.000,00

Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
