As the Services Manager for Power Conversion Systems / Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will be responsible for delivering services across the PCS portfolio with a specific focus on the legacy installed base and the Waratah and Ulinda projects. The primary responsibility will be the execution of Service Contracts in the installed base of Hitachi Battery Energy Storage business.
How you'll make an impact
Lead and manage BESS service teams, allocating resources, driving performance, and ensuring successful project and service delivery.
Execute SLAs and unplanned service activities while managing scope, schedule, quality, costs, risks, and resources.
Monitor project financial performance, including invoicing, budgets, expenses, cash flow, and profitability.
Act as the primary customer contact, managing stakeholder relationships, escalations, and customer satisfaction.
Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with HSE requirements, safe work practices, and risk controls.
Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve field issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Prepare and maintain project and service documentation, including scope of work, schedules, quality, and EHS records.
Coordinate with Supply Chain to procure services and materials, evaluate supplier proposals, and support negotiations and claims management.
Provide leadership, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement by enhancing processes, tools, standards, and team capabilities across the organization.
Your Background
- Degree qualifications in Engineering (Electrical / Controls), or equivalent or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Control Systems engineering.
- High level of technical aptitude in power systems, power generation, electrical engineering.
- Atleast 5 years’ Experience in site execution and delivery of large power system-based services including power automation, generation or control, Battery Energy Storage or Inverter based technology services.
- Exposure to heavy engineering segments, Mining, oil and gas or heavy industry.
- Advanced computer skills including engineering software applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and high attention to detail.
- Proactive and highly organized including timeliness and ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Highly flexible and demonstrable problem-solving skills.
