Job Description
CHEP, A Brambles Company
Looking for a leadership role where you can make a genuine impact?
We're seeking a Shift Supervisor - Night Shift to join our Eastern Creek team.
The Eastern Creek night shift is a highly regarded, capable team that consistently delivers strong operational outcomes. We're looking for a visible and hands-on leader who can build on that success while strengthening the team's focus on safety, process discipline and operational excellence.
This isn't a Supervisor role where you'll spend your shift behind a desk. It's a genuinely hands-on leadership opportunity. You'll spend around 70-80% of your shift on the floor with your team, leading from the front, coaching in the moment and making sure everyone goes home safely at the end of every shift.
With significant autonomy and responsibility, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a shift, develop your leadership capability and make a visible impact within one of CHEP's most important operations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading a safe, inclusive and high-performing night shift team
- Spending the majority of your shift on the floor, working closely with your team and leading from the front
- Building a strong safety culture where standards and processes are consistently followed
- Coaching team members in the moment and reinforcing safe ways of working
- Building trust through consistency, communication and following through on commitments
- Maintaining strong performance across safety, quality, service and productivity measures
- Holding yourself and your team accountable while creating an environment where people feel supported to perform at their best
- Planning resources and coordinating night shift activities to meet operational requirements
- Working closely with Team Leaders and the broader site leadership team to deliver operational priorities
What You Bring
- Experience leading teams within a manufacturing, production, logistics, warehousing or operational environment
- A genuine commitment to safety and the confidence to challenge unsafe behaviours or shortcuts
- A leadership style that is visible, approachable and focused on supporting frontline teams
- The ability to build trust, credibility and engagement across diverse teams
- Strong communication skills and the ability to set clear expectations
- Experience coaching, developing and influencing team members to perform at their best
- Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor or equivalent leadership position is highly regarded
- Most importantly, a genuine desire to lead from the front and help others succeed
Why Eastern Creek?
Night shift leadership comes with a unique level of ownership and trust. With fewer leaders onsite overnight, you'll have the autonomy to make decisions, lead your team and drive outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on safety and operational performance.
The team already knows how to deliver. Your opportunity is to bring the leadership presence that helps them deliver safely, consistently and sustainably while continuing to develop your own leadership career.
This role would suit an experienced Team Leader ready to step into a broader leadership position, or an established Supervisor looking for a highly visible and impactful leadership opportunity.
If you're ready to lead from the front, build a strong safety culture and make a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you.
CHEP Eastern Creek is a welcoming and inclusive workplace where women thrive in hands-on roles. We actively encourage applications from women and people of all backgrounds. You’ll be joining a team that values respect, support, and collaboration.
