  • Making security decisions within established organizational policies, clearly communicating tradeoffs, and escalating material risks with actionable recommendations.
  • Owning TraceGains’ security incident response policy, ensuring it remains current and aligned with Esko’s policies, escalation requirements, and response procedures.

  • Partnering with engineering teams to keep dependencies current and integrate security and license checks into development and CI/CD workflows.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • At least 7 years of experience in security engineering, application security, cloud security, or comparable technical security roles, including experience supporting SaaS products.
  • At least 3 years of experience owning a security strategy or security program, with a track record of independently identifying gaps, developing recommendations, making decisions, and delivering measurable improvements.

  • Experience developing and maintaining security incident response policies and aligning them with enterprise requirements.
  • Hands-on experience selecting, implementing, and operating security tools for vulnerability management, application security, dependency scanning, and cloud security.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, establish accountability, and drive work to completion across engineering, infrastructure, business, and enterprise security teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain security risks, recommendations, and tradeoffs to technical teams and business leaders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
