The Opportunity

Robotics—and particularly the rapidly accelerating humanoid market—is an essential growth vector for Allegro MicroSystems, with China at the absolute epicenter of this global expansion. As a Systems Engineer, Robotics based in China within our Industrial Business Segment (IBS) Corporate Strategy Team, you will have a direct impact on strengthening Allegro's position in this highly dynamic market.
In this role, you will act as the critical bridge between Allegro’s cutting-edge technology and our strategic customers in China. By combining your strong technical foundation in mechatronics with sharp business acumen and customer-facing expertise, you will lead the technical evaluation of new products and shape the next generation of our Sensing and Power portfolio. What You Will Do

Customer & Field Engineering Support

• Partner closely with local Business Development, Sales, and Field Application Engineering (FAE) teams across China to drive new robotics solutions into the market.

• Support strategic customers directly with new technology validation and hands-on design-in activities, ensuring Allegro products solve their most complex system-level challenges.

Prototyping & Technical Evaluation

• Lead the independent technical lab evaluation of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) specifically targeted at the fast-paced China robotics market.

• Act as the creative technical mind of the region by conceptualizing, proposing, and building meaningful robotics demonstrations that showcase Allegro’s capabilities in real-world applications (e.g., humanoid joints, dexterous hands).

Strategic VoC & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as the technical "Voice of the Market" (VoM) and "Voice of the Customer" (VoC), consolidating regional technical requirements to guide the development of next-generation Sensing and Power products.

• Collaborate seamlessly with global Marketing and Product Line teams, providing critical feedback and data to help generate high-impact marketing collateral.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

• Exceptional hands-on engineering skills with the proven ability to run independent, rigorous technical lab evaluations on innovative new semiconductor products and electromechanical systems.

• 5 to 10 years of professional experience in robotics, mechatronics, or electronics engineering.

• A strong blend of technical depth, business acumen, and direct customer-facing experience.

• A deep, demonstrable passion for the robotics industry and a keen understanding of the Chinese automation and humanoid landscape.

• Creative Problem Solver: You have a highly creative mind and are always ready to propose fresh ideas for new products and technology demonstrations.

• Exceptional Communicator: You excel at translating complex technical requirements into actionable business insights for both internal stakeholders and external customers.

• Collaborative Team Player: You thrive in highly interactive environments and know how to build consensus across global, cross-functional teams.

This role will be located in Shanghai or Shenzhen, China.
