About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer I to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Golang, Java, or Python, with a passion for building scalable, reliable, and high-performing applications. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining mission-critical systems while contributing to engineering best practices and technical excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable production services, web applications, APIs, data pipelines, and distributed systems.
- Build and support systems that are critical to the company's current and future operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across multiple services and technology stacks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards, security practices, and coding guidelines.
- Research, analyze, and document technical solutions, findings, and recommendations.
- Support engineering teams through technical expertise and attention to detail.
- Participate in software testing activities including test review, validation, and quality assurance processes.
- Evaluate code for performance, scalability, maintainability, and compatibility across environments.
- Contribute to the enhancement of engineering standards, development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and operational processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and positively influence team members through technical guidance and best practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and software development methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of the following languages:
- Golang
- Java
- Python
- Experience designing and developing scalable, cloud-native applications and microservices.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
- Exposure to streaming platforms such as Kafka or similar technologies.
- Understanding of DevOps principles and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
