JOB SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to lead technical discussions, manage new business opportunities and promote Integer products and capabilities to drive revenue and operating profit growth.  In alignment with the Global Account strategies, the position will provide technical support at assigned and new customers within a region or product area using available tools such as technical fairs and forums. Working with customers’ R & D, product development, and operations teams, the position works with Integer Global Accounts, Quoting Teams and manufacturing facilities to identify, scope, and sell appropriate supply chain solutions to our customers. 

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

o Adheres to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems,

o U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements. 

 New Opportunity Identification & Qualification

o   Initiates New Business Opportunity review process and defines the business rationale for pursuing new business opportunities.  Works with the Global Account and Quoting Teams to develop business cases and presents to Integer management to gain consensus and approval to proceed.

o   Works with customers' technical/engineering teams to understand and clarify technical requirements and specifications and translate into actionable Integer activities.  Working with Integer technology experts, effectively filters opportunities to identify appropriate business and screen-out inappropriate opportunities.
Recommends pricing approach utilizing market-based pricing and price validation methodology to ensure appropriate profitability 

o   Prepares and delivers proposals to customers in partnership with Global Sales team members. Proposals will include pricing and manufacturing strategies as well as capital and NRE requirements.

Technical Sales Activities

o   Represents the organization as the primary technical contact on projects, interacts with external technical teams on significant technical matters and opportunities, often requiring coordination between organizations.  May serve as the organization spokesperson on advanced opportunities and/or programs.

o   Leads technical discussions and promotes Integer capabilities to new and existing customers using available tools such as technical fairs and forums.

o   Proactively identifies and scopes new business opportunities with active involvement in customers’ R&D, product development, and operations teams. o Effectively works with Integer Global Account teams and manufacturing facilities to identify, scope, and sell appropriate supply chain solutions to our customers.

o   Ensures project confidentiality and IP protection by executing Non-Disclosure Agreements with customers

Account Management Support

o   Works with the Global Account teams to understand the full scope of customers’ business and aligns activities with strategic account plans.

o   Works directly with customers on VIP programs to identify and provide solutions to their supply chain management challenges, including design for manufacturability requirements.

o   Responsible for technical and NPD customer satisfaction. o Communicates effectively across Integer all customer concerns and obtains additional assistance support when required.

Strategic Market Segment Development

o Actively pursues qualified leads identified through targeted marketing campaigns.  o Assists in identifying technology trends and market dynamics. o Identifies capability gaps within market segments and help to prioritize development of missing capabilities.

o Supports marketing efforts, as required, for example supporting trade shows o Actively participates in the development of the Integer Technology Plan

o Complies with all work rules including those pertaining to safety, health and the Integer Quality System.

o Performs other duties as required.

Education & Experience:

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in a technical field.  MBA preferred.

Minimum Experience: 5-7 years’ experience in a technical environment with a minimum 5 years related to component or assembly in the medical device industry.  Prefer to have experience selling to technical contacts at Medical Device Manufacturers.

Knowledge & Skills:

o In depth knowledge of Product and/or Clinical applications in targeted area of responsibility required.

o Previous Product and/or Clinical experience in Vascular Markets preferred. 

o Knowledgeable about the highly regulated nature of the business and is comfortable operating within such an environment

o Manufacturing Engineering or Development Engineering experience preferred

o Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate issues and potential resolutions in a timely manner to customers and internal stakeholders.

o Demonstrated partner with cross-functional organizations to successfully drive the business

o Ability to respond to changing priorities with minimum disruption.

o Ability to provide technical leadership in discussions, conference calls and meetings with customers and staff as related to the job responsibilities.

o Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings, models, and schematics.

o Proficient computer skills, Outlook, Excel, Project, Word & PowerPoint. CAD & Design programs a plus.

Other: 

o Must be able to travel regionally.

Salary Range: $117,750.00 - $172,700.00

Parental leave is available after one year. Optional employee-paid programs include supplemental life insurance, critical illness, hospital indemnity and accident insurance. Employees are immediately eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan with company matching contributions. We provide 80 hours (10 days) of company designated holidays per year plus an annual allotment of paid time off.
