Role Overview: 

You’ll join the systems engineering team working across London and Los Angeles, in support of deployments of our radars across Europe and the Middle East.

Our Mission team deploys and operates the systems on customer sites; you own how they perform. You’ll build deep expertise in how our radars behave in the real world, and turn data from live deployments and field testing into tuning, calibration, and product improvements.

What You’ll Do:

• Deployed Performance - own radar performance for systems in the field. Diagnose RF, detection, and tracking problems on live deployments, and turn what you find into concrete fixes.
• Tuning & Calibration - calibrate, configure, and tune radar modes for the environments we operate in, and become the expert on how our products behave in the real world.
• Performance Analysis - characterise detection, tracking, and false-alarm performance against truth data. Quantify what the system does and find where it falls short.
• Field Testing - plan and lead test campaigns and data collections, then analyse the results and turn the findings into product improvements.
• Tooling & Enablement - build the tooling, diagnostics, and playbooks that let Mission team engineers independently deploy, tune, and troubleshoot in the field, using AI coding tools to build and ship faster than a team your size otherwise could.
• Systems Engineering - contribute to requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria across both sides of the V, grounded in what you’ve seen deployed.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for engineers with real depth in radar who are excited by hard technical problems and systems that matter. You don’t need every specialism listed below - we value strong fundamentals, curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Have several years of hands-on radar systems experience, with a deep understanding of radar principles and modes.
• Understand the signal processing chain well enough to reason about it end to end - waveform design, matched filtering, Doppler processing, detection, and clutter rejection.
• Have hands-on experience calibrating RF systems and measuring their performance.
• Enjoy digging into radar data to work out why a system behaves the way it does.
• Are fluent in Python.
• Are AI-native - you reach for coding agents and AI tools by default, get real leverage from them, and have a considered view on what to delegate to them and what not to.
• Bring systems engineering experience with RF systems, across both sides of the V.
• Are comfortable working in the field, on customer sites, and under operational pressure.
• Communicate well with people outside your own discipline, technical or not.

Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to travel. You’ll be based in our Soho office in London.
• Expect to travel around 25% of the time, in blocks around deployments and test campaigns across Europe and the Middle East, plus time co-locating with the systems engineering team in Los Angeles.
• Eligible for UK security clearance.
