We are seeking a highly motivated Sr Project Engineer to lead the development and execution of aircraft interior programs, with a focus on monuments and complex cabin structures. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys cross-functional coordination, and is committed to delivering high-quality, certifiable aerospace products.

What You Will Do:

• Lead end‑to‑end development programs for aircraft interior components, from concept through certification and delivery.
• Manage project scope, schedule, risks, and deliverables while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate closely with internal engineering teams, supply chain, manufacturing, and program management to drive technical alignment and on-time execution.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for customer interactions, design reviews, and engineering decisions.
• Support or lead work transfer activities, including planning, technical documentation readiness, coordination with receiving sites, and ensuring seamless knowledge and responsibility transitions.
• Oversee integration of aircraft interiors monuments such as galleys, lavatories, partitions, and other cabin furnishing structures.
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes, design standards, and development methods.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Proven experience leading engineering or development programs.
• Strong understanding of aircraft interiors monuments, materials, manufacturing processes, and certification considerations.
• Familiarity with program execution tools such as schedules, risk registers, and requirements management systems.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with work transfer planning or execution (domestic or international).
• Knowledge of FAA/EASA certification processes for interiors.
• Previous experience in cabin interiors manufacturing or product development environments.

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
