The Opportunity:

The Senior Program Director is responsible for the successful delivery of Rimes' most complex and strategically significant client transformation programmes in APAC. Acting as the counterpart to the Overall Program Lead, this role serves as the primary senior client-facing leader, ensuring strong executive stakeholder engagement, programme governance, risk management, and delivery oversight across large-scale, multi-year initiatives. 

Initially focused on the GIC programme, this role will establish the delivery framework and client engagement model for future strategic client programmes across Rimes' largest APAC clients. 

The Senior Program Director will work directly with client executives, programme sponsors, and senior leadership while coordinating closely with internal delivery teams across Product, Technology, Data, Professional Services, Operations, and Client Experience. The role carries accountability for maintaining client confidence, managing complex programme risks, and ensuring successful business outcomes throughout the programme lifecycle. 

Key Responsibilities:  

Strategic Client Leadership 

• Act as the executive face of Rimes for strategic delivery programmes in APAC. 
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with client executive sponsors and senior stakeholders. 
• Lead executive governance forums, steering committees, programme boards, and strategic reviews. 
• Provide senior-level guidance and escalation management for programme challenges and delivery risks. 
• Drive alignment between client business objectives and programme outcomes. 

Programme Oversight 

• Provide independent oversight across multiple programme workstreams. 
• Partner with internal Program Directors and workstream leads to ensure cohesive programme execution. 
• Ensure programme objectives, milestones, dependencies, risks, and success measures are clearly defined and managed. 
• Challenge delivery assumptions and proactively identify risks that could impact client outcomes. 
• Monitor programme health and ensure timely intervention where required. 

Executive Communication & Governance 

• Deliver concise and structured executive reporting to client and Rimes leadership. 
• Lead programme governance frameworks including steering committees, risk reviews, and executive escalations. 
• Ensure transparency of programme performance, delivery risks, financial implications, and dependency management. 
• Establish best practices for governance across strategic client engagements. 

Commercial & Relationship Management 

• Protect and strengthen strategic client relationships during complex transformation initiatives. 
• Partner with Client Experience, Sales, and Executive Leadership teams to maximise long-term client value. 
• Support discussions relating to programme scope, prioritisation, funding, and future strategic opportunities. 
• Act as a senior escalation point for delivery-related concerns. 

Global Delivery Leadership 

• Coordinate globally distributed teams across multiple regions and time zones. 
• Ensure alignment across Product Engineering, Data Management, Operations, Professional Services, and Client Experience teams. 
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and delivery excellence. 
• Support the development of a repeatable framework for managing strategic client programmes across the Rimes client portfolio. 

Core Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 
• 15+ years' experience leading complex global transformation programmes. 
• Significant experience delivering large-scale technology, data, or operating model change programmes within Capital Markets, Asset Management, Wealth Management, or Financial Services. 
• Proven track record managing executive stakeholder relationships within Tier 1 financial institutions. 
• Experience serving as the senior client-facing lead for programmes of high value and involving multiple delivery streams. 
• Strong understanding of data management, enterprise data platforms, market data operations, investment management, and financial technology environments. 
• Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills. 
• Demonstrated success managing global teams and complex multi-vendor environments. 
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance client outcomes with business objectives. 

Preferred Experience: 

• Experience working directly with sovereign wealth funds, global asset managers, pension funds, custodians, or investment service providers. 
• Knowledge of Databricks, cloud-based data architectures, and enterprise data transformation programmes. 
• Experience establishing programme governance for large-scale technology modernisation initiatives. 
• Formal programme management qualifications (PgMP, MSP, PMP, Prince2, or equivalent).
