Westgold Resources is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to lead the safe and efficient extraction of gold at our Southern Operations.

This pivotal role will lead a team of mining engineers in developing and delivering safe, efficient and cost-effective production outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and implement weekly drill and blast activities, with a focus on operational excellence.
• Ensure adherence to drill and blast standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise recovery and minimise dilution.
• Foster a high-performance culture by actively coaching, mentoring, engaging with, and providing feedback to Production Engineers and Graduate Engineers.
• Support daily underground operations and contribute to the achievement of production targets through sound engineering practices.
• Assist the Senior Mine Planning Engineer with planning outputs as required
• Support the Mining Manager/Alternate with operational, technical, and statutory responsibilities

What You'll Bring

• Strong proficiency in mining software, including Deswik CAD, Deswik UGDB, Ventsim, as well as Microsoft Office Suite of products.
• Proven experience in drill & blast design, including ring design, firing strategies, and optimisation
• Strong capability in stope design, sequencing, and optimisation to maximise recovery and minimise dilution
• Demonstrated people management and leadership skills.
• Bachelor of Mining Engineering (or equivalent)
• Current, unrestricted Western Australian “C” Class Driver's Licence.
• First Class Mine Manager's Certificate (or actively working towards it)
