Please review the following job description:

The Senior Product Manager, Email Marketing is responsible for defining, delivering, and optimizing email marketing capabilities that support client acquisition, deepening, and operational efficiency. This role partners across Product, Technology, Marketing Delivery, Marketing Strategy, Data and Analytics, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver email marketing capabilities that are client-centered, measurable, scalable, compliant, and aligned to enterprise priorities.

This role balances strategic product management and product owner execution discipline. The ideal candidate brings strong stakeholder management and product discovery capabilities and is able to translate stakeholder feedback into business opportunities; and areas of underperformance into solution directions. The role is expected to understand both the broader strategic impact of email marketing capabilities and the day-to-day execution details required to move work from discovery through launch, adoption, measurement, and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Define and maintain the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and measurable outcomes for email marketing platforms or capabilities.

  • Own product discovery activities by identifying stakeholder needs, business opportunities, operational pain points, market trends, competitive insights, and digital experience gaps.

  • Partner with Experience Design, Research, Analytics, Marketing, Technology, and business stakeholders to translate client insights and journey friction into clear product opportunities and prioritized solutions.

  • Lead roadmap development and prioritization across email marketing capabilities, balancing client value, business impact, risk, technical feasibility, platform health, regulatory requirements, and capacity constraints.

  • Translate product strategy into actionable epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements, and measurable success metrics in partnership with marketing partners, and technology delivery teams.

  • Serve as a key product leader in Agile ceremonies, including PI planning, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, demos, dependency reviews, and release readiness discussions.

  • Maintain strong alignment between the product roadmap, delivery backlog, business priorities, technology dependencies, and enterprise strategic themes.

  • Use analytics, funnel reporting, experimentation results, operational data, and production performance to evaluate product health and recommend improvements.

  • Establish, monitor, and communicate product KPIs, including digital adoption, application starts, completion rate, conversion rate, funding rate, abandonment, ease of use, defect trends, cycle time, personalization effectiveness, and business value delivered.

  • Partner with Marketing, Personalization, Data, and Analytics teams to advance targeted digital experiences, campaign enablement, client engagement capabilities, and measurable digital sales outcomes.

  • Lead cross-functional teams through product discovery, solution alignment, delivery planning, execution, validation, launch, and post-production optimization.

  • Partner with Technology and Architecture teams to ensure product solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, maintainable, and aligned to platform strategy and technical roadmaps.

  • Manage product dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and tradeoffs. Clearly communicate impacts, options, recommendations, and escalation needs to stakeholders and senior leaders.

  • Ensure Product Management Lifecycle processes, risk reviews, controls, accessibility standards, privacy considerations, security requirements, legal reviews, compliance expectations, and audit documentation are addressed throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Support release planning and go-to-market readiness by coordinating with business partners, operations, marketing, training, communications, support teams, controls partners, and technology delivery teams.

  • Validate delivered capabilities against business objectives, client experience goals, acceptance criteria, and expected outcomes. Drive remediation or optimization where needed.

  • Prepare and deliver clear executive-level updates, roadmap communications, product recommendations, decision materials, and performance reporting.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for assigned platforms, capabilities, systems, and business outcomes.

  • Mentor Product Managers, Product Owners, analysts, and cross-functional partners on product management practices, client-centered thinking, Agile delivery, measurement discipline, and outcome-based decision-making.
