Accelerating the transition to a circular economy

We are proud to be an active contributor in the circular economy through container deposit schemes (10c refund for eligible drink containers). We help our scheme partners to recycle close to 10 million drink containers every day, diverting them from landfill into the circular economy.

Our technology and services enable the circular lifecycle of drink containers. We have a large in-house software engineering team using modern technology stacks to develop and support our products. As well as a suite of SaaS products, our range of business services includes accounting, payments, brand & marketing, materials trading, HR, customer service and support.

CES was formed in 2017 as a joint venture between Lion and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and has grown rapidly. We are headquartered in North Sydney, near public transport with beautiful harbour views. Our teams are passionate about our mission to ensure valuable materials are recycled and not wasted. Originally known as Container Exchange Services, we have rebranded to Circular Economy Systems to recognise our vision to be leaders in the transition to a circular economy.

About the role

You’ll lead the development of a new, greenfield platform that sits at the heart of CES’s growth. Built to scale across markets, this product will transform how we support container deposit schemes, replacing bespoke solutions with a scalable, SaaS-native platform.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role. You’ll define product direction in ambiguity, work closely with cross-functional teams, and shape a system that’s robust, extensible, and ready to grow.

You’ll also help reset the bar for product management at CES, bringing focus, clarity, and momentum where it matters most.

Key Deliverables

• Own the end-to-end delivery of large areas of a complex Platform product from discovery through to scaled rollout

• Translate complex user, business, and technical requirements into a clear product strategy and roadmap

• Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and delivery leads to drive high-quality, iterative development

• Define and deliver product increments that show meaningful progress, unlock feedback, and drive value

• Lead solution design in ambiguous problem spaces — balancing short-term delivery with long-term platform integrity

• Use customer insight, data, and domain expertise to shape product decisions and prioritise effectively

• Align internal stakeholders around the product vision, roadmap, and business goals

• Set and uphold high standards of product practice across the team, modelling strong decision-making and clarity of thought

• Support the shift from client-specific solutions to a SaaS platform built on insight, automation, and repeatability

• Contribute to shaping a strong product culture across CES, helping to lift the bar for what great looks like

About you

• Brings solid years of product management experience, including ownership of complex, high-impact products across multiple teams

• Has a track record of delivering platform or SaaS products in fast-moving, ambiguous environments

• Thinks strategically, acts pragmatically - knows when to go deep vs. when to move fast

• Is a strong systems thinker, able to connect user needs, business goals, and technical constraints into coherent solutions

• Leads through clarity - able to simplify complexity, align teams, and communicate direction with confidence

• Is comfortable working without a playbook, bringing energy to solving undefined problems.

• Uses data, insights, and curiosity to drive product direction — not just validate it

• Has strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, and can bring cross-functional teams on the journey

• Acts as a role model for high-quality product practice and helps raise the bar for the broader team

• Is motivated by meaningful work, real-world outcomes, and the opportunity to shape something from the ground up

• Experience building business cases and financial models
