Hanoi, Vietnam | Full-time

We are looking for a Senior Microsoft 365 & Active Directory Engineer to take technical ownership of a Microsoft 365 tenant and identity environment in Hanoi.

The environment is built according to strict enterprise security standards by a specialist implementation partner.

You will be the lead technical point of contact on the DXC side, supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the configured environment, resolving complex identity and security issues, and ensuring that operational knowledge is retained within the team.

You will work closely with project stakeholders, international colleagues, and the implementation partner. You will also provide technical guidance to another engineer on the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day technical support and maintenance of the Microsoft 365 tenant and Microsoft Entra ID / Active Directory environment.
• Administer and troubleshoot identity and access configurations, including user and group provisioning, role-based access control, administrative role segregation, and privileged account protection.
• Maintain and troubleshoot authentication and access controls, including multi-factor authentication, Conditional Access policies, location and country-based access restrictions, session controls, and device compliance-based access.
• Support Exchange Online operations, including mailboxes, mail flow and domain settings, internal and external email policies, shared mailboxes, retention, and email security.
• Support Microsoft Defender and baseline security configurations, including email protection, Safe Links, Safe Attachments, endpoint policies, alerting, and incident response.
• Support access policies aligned with the enterprise network segmentation model, including location-based access, download restrictions, and browser and file transfer controls.
• Maintain audit logging and monitoring configurations and produce audit and investigation exports to support internal and regulatory reviews.
• Execute onboarding and offboarding technical procedures, including account deactivation, mailbox retention, content ownership transfers, and session termination.
• Perform recovery procedures for emails, files, document versions, and deleted accounts.
• Participate in testing, stabilization, knowledge transfer, and administrator handover with the implementation partner.
• Maintain technical documentation and configuration records.
• Provide technical guidance to another engineer on the team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of IT experience, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 administration and Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID configuration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 tenant configuration across core workloads.
• Solid experience configuring identity and access, including users, groups, roles, authentication, and access policies.
• Practical experience configuring and troubleshooting multi-factor authentication and Conditional Access policies.
• Working experience with Exchange Online administration, mail flow, and email security settings.
• Strong independent troubleshooting skills, with the discipline to clearly document configurations.
• Good written and spoken English, sufficient for daily collaboration with international colleagues and technology partners.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Intune device management and Microsoft Defender for Office 365 / Endpoint.
• Exposure to Microsoft Purview, including sensitivity labels, data loss prevention, retention, or eDiscovery.
• Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, Microsoft 365 Administrator, or SC-300, Identity and Access Administrator.
• Experience working in a large enterprise or regulated industry.
• Experience supporting an environment implemented by a third-party partner.
