Senior Marketing Data Analyst

CPI Security, a leader in security, smart home, and business automation, is hiring a Senior Marketing Data Analyst to join our Marketing team in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you’ll own the marketing data and analytics ecosystem—from click tracking to lead conversion reporting. You’ll use SQL, GA4, Tableau, Salesforce, Invoca, GTM, and related platforms to build trusted reporting, improve attribution, identify performance trends, and help channel owners make smarter decisions about spend, testing, and strategy.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain SQL-backed datasets for campaign, channel, lead, attribution, and conversion reporting
• Analyze marketing performance across paid search, paid social, display, email, web, offline, and other channels
• Partner with channel owners to answer key business questions: what happened, why it happened, and what to do next
• Standardize marketing KPIs including leads, conversion rates, CPL, CPA, ROI, attribution windows, and funnel metrics
• Develop Tableau dashboards and recurring reports based on trusted data models
• Monitor data quality, tracking gaps, duplicates, reconciliation issues, and reporting inconsistencies
• Support attribution, media mix, lead quality, funnel conversion, and budget allocation analysis
• Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests, multivariate tests, and marketing experiments
• QA and troubleshoot tracking across GA4, GTM, Salesforce, Invoca, paid media platforms, email, web, and offline channels
• Present clear, actionable insights to Marketing, Sales, agencies, and leadership

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience as a marketing analyst, marketing data analyst, data analyst, or similar role
• Strong SQL skills, including pulling, joining, cleaning, and aggregating marketing and CRM data
• Experience supporting digital or performance marketing teams with actionable reporting and analysis
• Hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager
• Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools connected to SQL/data models
• 2+ years of experience designing and analyzing marketing tests or experiments
• Understanding of paid search, paid social, display, email, and omnichannel campaign measurement
• Experience with CRM or marketing automation reporting; Salesforce preferred
• Strong data-quality mindset and ability to validate reporting before sharing insights
• Clear communication skills with the ability to explain findings to technical and non-technical audiences
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Data Analytics, Economics, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered

Nice to Have

• Advanced SQL, including CTEs, window functions, performance tuning, or warehouse/ETL experience
• Python or R for deeper analysis
• Experience with customer lifetime value, predictive scoring, MMM, or multi-touch attribution
• Basic JavaScript, HTML, or CSS for GTM and tracking troubleshooting
• Paid media platform APIs or warehouse integrations
• Experience in security, home services, smart home, subscription, or lead-generation businesses
• Experience working with agencies and Sales teams on lead quality and funnel conversion
