The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
- To manage and monitor the processes of design, government submissions, land matters, construction works and handover matter for the Authority’s self-delivered development and starter home projects
- To liaise with joint venture partners for project administration and monitor the compliance with the terms and conditions of the development agreement for the joint venture development projects
- To manage and monitor major construction projects, including demolition works, underground utilities diversion works, handover inspections, defect rectification works, and upkeeping of acquired properties
- To manage and monitor the design and implementation of revitalization and advance work projects, and other projects designated by the government
- To provide technical input to Master Layout Plan / lease conditions / conservation / buildability / joint venture control document from an implementation perspective on development projects under planning
Requirements:
- Degree holder in architectural / engineering / building / construction discipline or equivalent
- Relevant professional qualifications (HKIA/HKIS/HKIE/CIOB) or other equivalent professional qualifications
- Possession of Authorized Person qualification is an advantage
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant work experience, with at least 8 years’ post-qualification experience in the building construction field
