Job Description: Summary
The Senior Manager, Process Engineering will be responsible for leading and managing the Senior Site Engineers that own the automation performance, systems optimization, and facility infrastructure at the automated distribution centers (DC). This leader ensures that the on-site engineering team maintains and improves automation uptime, warehouse systems performance and stability, material flow and movement, labor planning and utilization, and oversight of facility assets and infrastructure. The role leads the continuous improvement strategy across the supply chain using data analytics and lean six sigma methodology to improve the overall cost and service of the automated DCs and creates and updates “one best way” of working. This role is crucial for the effective long term operation of our new supply chain facilities.

Responsibilities
• Lead and develop a team of Process/Industrial engineers and facilities professionals across multiple locations
• Own the process engineering strategy and continuous improvement for the automated warehouse operations
• Lead and support the optimization of automation, material flow, labor, and warehouse processes
• Develop capacity, throughput, labor, productivity, and cost models to support operational and strategic decisions
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve end to end performance at the sites
• Establish, manage, and improve engineering and operational KPIs
• Ensure facilities and warehouse material handling equipment is maintained and activities meet safety, regulatory, building code, and company requirements
• Manage external vendors, contractors, integrators, and business partners
• Drive standardization and best practice (“One Best Way”) deployment across the automated distribution center network

Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
• 7+ years of Industrial engineering experience (Distribution or Fulfillment)
• 3+ years experience leading and managing a team
• Experience developing engineered labor standards (MTM, MOST, Time Studies, etc.)
• Strong communication skills, proven leadership and project management experience
• Solid understanding of WMS, WCS, WES and RMS architectures and interactions within an automated DC
• Working knowledge of goods to person automation or similar systems
• Experience using data analytics to make decisions and drive results
• Working knowledge of lean principles and capable of applying to day to day operations for improvement
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Ability to manage and understand technical issues related to facility infrastructure
• Experience leading or coordinating maintenance activities
• Experience managing external vendors, integrators, and contractors

Preferred Qualifications
• Multi-site support experience
• Certification in standard data work measurement techniques (MOST, MTM, MSD, Ease, etc.)
• Green Belt Certification or higher
• Experience in either design, commissioning, or qualification of highly automated warehouse systems
• Experience with CMMS software
• Strong understanding of warehouse and automation systems architecture and can analyze for improvements, issue resolution, and maintenance
• Experience managing preventative maintenance programs for warehouse equipment and facilities
• Broad understanding of end-to-end supply chain and logistics processes
