Job Summary:

THE TEAM

The payments and antifraud function supports ticketing operations across Latin America, covering Brazil, Chile and Peru. The team owns how fans pay, how those transactions are authorised, settled and reconciled, and how the business is protected from fraud and payment losses.

The work sits at the intersection of commercial negotiation, regulatory compliance, data analysis and product development, and is delivered in close partnership with Product, Engineering, Finance, Customer Support and Commercial teams.

THE JOB

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Payments to lead our payments and antifraud function across Latin America (Brazil, Chile and Peru). This person will own payment performance, cost optimisation, fraud and chargeback management, acquiring-partner relationships, regulatory compliance, and the expansion of payment products for our ticketing platform.

The role is critical to delivering a fast, reliable and trusted checkout experience for fans while enabling scalable growth across LATAM markets.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Own the day-to-day relationship with acquirers, payment processors, banks, and other payment partners across Latin America.

• Ensure compliance with all regulations applicable to the company's subacquiring activities in Brazil, including requirements and guidance issued by the Central Bank of Brazil (Banco Central do Brasil).

• Lead negotiations with acquirers and payment providers to improve processing fees, commercial terms, settlement conditions, and service levels.

• Monitor payment approval and conversion rates across payment methods, countries, issuers, and acquirers; identify root causes of declines and lead initiatives to improve performance.

• Develop, test, and launch new payment products and methods, such as local payment methods, digital wallets, installments, instant payments, and alternative payment solutions.

• Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, Customer Support, and Commercial teams to improve checkout experience and payment efficiency.

• Own the company's antifraud strategy, including the selection, management, and optimisation of fraud-prevention tools, rules, and operational controls.

• Monitor and manage fraud levels, chargebacks, disputes, and payment losses; implement actions to reduce chargeback rates while protecting approval rates.

• Establish payment KPIs, dashboards, and reporting covering conversion, authorisation rates, payment costs, fraud, chargebacks, settlements, and provider performance.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

• 10+ years of experience in payments, acquiring, subacquiring, fintech, banking, e-commerce, or marketplaces.

• Strong experience working with acquirers, payment service providers, card networks, banks, and local payment methods in Latin America.

• Proven track record negotiating payment fees and commercial agreements.

• Deep understanding of payment authorisation, conversion optimisation, routing, decline management, fraud prevention, and chargeback processes.

• Experience launching or scaling payment products in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements applicable to payment institutions and subacquiring businesses in LATAM, especially Brazil.

• Strong commercial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
