About this role: 

• Lead legal support for higher-complexity partnership matters in Germany, including strategic negotiations, escalations and sensitive commercial issues.
• Advise senior commercial stakeholders on contract strategy, risk allocation and negotiation positions for material partner arrangements in the market.
• Handle complex disputes, regulatory-touching commercial issues and matters with significant financial or reputational exposure.
• Set practical market guardrails, coach junior legal colleagues and strengthen the local use of templates and central standards.
• Coordinate with central Partnerships, Compliance and Public Affairs teams where German market issues require broader alignment.
• Support major local initiatives and ensure material matters are escalated with clear recommendations and risk framing.

Skills and Experience: 

• Qualified lawyer with strong experience in commercial contracts, strategic negotiations and complex legal advisory is required.
• German-speaking with a strong understanding of the German legal and commercial environment relevant to partner-facing agreement.
• Ability to handle escalations, disputes and non-standard risk positions with limited supervision is required.
• Strong judgement, stakeholder management and drafting skills with senior business audiences are required.
• Ability to coach others and strengthen market legal discipline is required.
• Experience in a marketplace, consumer or technology-enabled business is preferred.

This role improves JET's ability to support strategically important partnership activity in Germany by giving senior-level legal judgement on complex negotiations and escalations. It reduces contract risk, strengthens consistency and supports commercially confident decision-making in a key market.
