About the job
Goods & Services is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer who is responsible for building and launching the Merchant Portal MVP, leveraging the Partner Portal’s existing design system to accelerate development. The role combines UI implementation, REST API integration, and frontend test automation, with additional end-to-end testing support from the broader QA team.
What you’ll do:
- Build and launch the Merchant Portal MVP, leveraging the Partner Portal’s existing design system and established UI patterns.
- Implement secure authentication and session flows by integrating the portal with the Identity Service.
- Develop user-facing views for application status, document upload, and notification preferences.
- Integrate REST APIs and backend services to support portal functionality and reliable data exchange.
- Develop and maintain frontend test automation covering critical user journeys and portal functionality.
- Execute functional, integration, and end-to-end testing to validate portal quality, usability, and reliability.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects throughout development and prepare the portal for production launch.
- Collaborate with backend, platform, QA, and other cross-functional teams to support end-to-end delivery.
- Deliver functionality within the defined MVP scope, prioritizing authentication, application status, document management, and notifications.
What you’ll need:
-
Frontend experience with React/Next.js (or an equivalent modern framework) and auth/session integration patterns.
-
Experience integrating against REST APIs for identity, document, and notification services.
-
Ability to own test automation independently, since there is no dedicated Frontend QA function on this program
-
Experience working within and extending an existing design system rather than building one from scratch.
-
Comfort holding a firm scope line under stakeholder pressure — this role's cut line is called out as the assumption most likely to shift.
