How You'll Add Value:
The Senior Financial Analyst, SRS FP&A plays a critical leadership role within the SRS organization, driving enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision support. This position serves as a trusted business partner to leadership, providing actionable financial insights that support corporate strategy, operational excellence, and long-term value creation. This individual will lead key planning processes, oversee functional financial management, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and influence strategic decision-making through robust financial analysis. The role requires strong business acumen, and the ability to navigate a complex, global organization while mentoring and developing finance talent.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead the annual operating plan, long-range strategic planning process, quarterly forecasts, and monthly financial reviews for corporate functions
Partner with leaders to develop financial strategies that align with organizational priorities and growth objectives
Identify business risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to improve financial performance and resource allocation
Drive forecasting accuracy through rigorous analysis of trends, assumptions, and key business drivers
Executive Business Partnership
Serve as the primary finance partner to SRS leaders, providing strategic guidance on expense management, investments, organizational planning, and operational performance
Challenge assumptions and influence decision-making through data-driven insights and financial modeling
Support workforce planning and headcount analysis to ensure alignment with business objectives and financial goals
Collaborate across Finance, Human Resources, IT, Legal, Operations, and other functions to optimize financial outcomes
Executive Reporting & Investor Support
Lead preparation and delivery of financial reporting packages, including monthly operating reviews, and earnings support analyses
Develop concise and impactful presentations that communicate key financial trends, risks, opportunities, and business performance
Support the quarter-end close process through analysis and reporting used in earnings releases and executive communications
Present financial results and recommendations to leadership teams
Process Improvement & Financial Transformation
Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, reporting capabilities, planning methodologies, and system utilization
Support cross-functional initiatives focused on automation, efficiency improvements, data integrity, and reporting standardization
Champion Azenta's Lean culture by driving continuous improvement initiatives that eliminate waste, simplify processes, and improve business outcomes
Utilize Lean principles, root cause analysis, and data-driven problem-solving techniques to increase organizational effectiveness and scalability
Partner with Finance Systems teams to optimize Oracle, OneStream, and other reporting tools to improve scalability and decision support
Champion best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across the FP&A organization
Leadership & Talent Development
Provide leadership and mentorship to finance team members and serve as a role model for collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning
Lead projects and cross-functional initiatives, influencing stakeholders across all levels of the organization
Support the development of finance capabilities, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness initiatives
Strategic Projects
Lead and support special projects, including scenario planning, profitability analyses, capital investment evaluations, cost optimization programs, and other corporate finance initiatives.
Provide analytical support for executive decision-making, strategic investments, and business transformation efforts.
Participate in M&A diligence, integration planning, and strategic growth initiatives as needed.
What You'll Bring:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
5+ years of progressive FP&A experience, including significant experience supporting leadership
Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, and performance analysis
Experience partnering with senior executives and influencing business decisions in a fast-paced environment
Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling capabilities
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, drive results, and operate independently with minimal direction
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced finance certification preferred
Experience leading Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or continuous improvement initiatives
Strong experience with Oracle ERP, OneStream, and enterprise planning systems
Experience with business intelligence and data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
Experience within life sciences, biotechnology, healthcare, diagnostics, or other high-growth global organizations
Demonstrated success leading process improvement and financial transformation initiatives

United States Base Compensation: $115,000.00 - $144,000.00The posted pay range for this position is an estimate based on current market data and internal pay structure. Final compensation may vary above or below this range depending on factors such as experience, education (including licensure and certifications), qualifications, performance, and geographic location, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
