The opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as a Senior Facility Engineer and help keep critical manufacturing operations running safely, reliably, and efficiently.
In this role, you’ll bring your engineering expertise to the planning, development, and implementation of maintenance programs that improve equipment availability and productivity. You’ll work at the intersection of engineering, maintenance, and production, helping solve complex equipment challenges while identifying opportunities to strengthen reliability and long-term performance.
You’ll have the opportunity to review mechanical and electrical engineering specifications, evaluate new equipment designs from a maintainability and reliability perspective, and support the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Just as importantly, you’ll collaborate closely with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and equipment needs while minimizing disruption to operations.
As a senior professional, you’ll have the autonomy to manage projects and processes, tackle challenging technical problems, and share your expertise by coaching and supporting other professionals.
If you enjoy solving complex problems, improving how equipment performs, and seeing the direct impact of your work in a manufacturing environment, this is an opportunity to help shape safer, smarter, and more reliable operations.
How you’ll make an impact

- Support statutory safety inspections and help maintain safe, dependable manufacturing operations.
- Participate in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Independently manage assigned engineering projects and processes while addressing difficult or complex technical challenges.
- Coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals, sharing technical knowledge and reviewing work as needed.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your background
- Advanced knowledge of repair and maintenance engineering gained through relevant education and professional experience.
- Education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering or technical discipline is preferred.

- Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects or processes and solve difficult or complex technical problems.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, maintenance, production, and other operational teams.
