Job Summary

The Documentation & Funding Senior Officer – Equipment Finance is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of highly complex commercial loan and lease transactions by completing documentation, funding, and booking activities from approval through closing. Process Transfer and Assumptions, Modifications, Collateral Substitutions and Name Changes while providing leadership, technical expertise, and operational oversight for the Documentation & Funding function. This position contributes to portfolio growth, risk management, operational effectiveness, and customer satisfaction by ensuring documentation, funding, and booking activities are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable requirements. The role serves as a senior departmental leader responsible for process improvement, quality management, employee development, and achievement of departmental objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare , review, fund, and book highly complex commercial loan and lease transactions to ensure timely and accurate execution as well as process transfer and assumptions, modificdations, collateral subtitutions, name changes, UCC terminations and UCC Continuations.
• Serve as a backup for the Documentation and Funding Manager by managing workflow and approving wires.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and third parties to obtain, review, and clear outstanding documentation conditions throughout the transaction closing process.
• Review internal and third party documents to confirm accuracy, completeness, and compliance with credit requirements prior to funding.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for highly complex documentation, funding, transaction structure, collateral, and booking issues.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development for less experienced Documentation & Funding personnel.
• Establish and maintain departmental controls, quality standards, operating procedures, and performance expectations.
• Review and approve documentation exceptions, funding exceptions, and transaction-related issues within delegated authority levels.
• Collaborate with Sales, Credit, Operations, Legal, Servicing, and executive leadership to support business growth and operational objectives.
• Lead departmental initiatives related to process improvement, operational efficiency, risk management, technology implementation, and regulatory compliance.

• Uses independent judgement and discretion to make decisions
• Analyzes and resolves problems pertaining to loan funding and documentation

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 

• Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required. 
• Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance training. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.  

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years of experience in equipment finance, commercial lending, documentation, funding, loan operations, banking operations, or related financial services functions.
• High School Diploma / GED AND 10+ years of experience in equipment finance, commercial lending, documentation, funding, loan operations, banking operations, or related financial services functions.
• 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial loan and lease documentation, transaction funding, collateral structures, and operational controls.
• Demonstrated experience managing highly complex commercial transactions and operational workflows.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in equipment finance, commercial lending, documentation, funding, loan operations, banking operations, or related financial services functions.
• 4+ years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
• Experience with syndicated transactions, structured finance transactions, or specialty lending products.
• Experience supporting audits, examinations, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Industry certifications related to equipment finance, commercial banking, or leadership development.

Pay Range

$76,128.75 - $113,221.00
