Senior Data Scientist Fraud Detection
What will you do?
- Design, develop, and continuously improve fraud detection models.
- Analyze large volumes of transactional and customer data to uncover fraud patterns and emerging threats.
- Apply machine learning, anomaly detection, graph analytics, and behavioral analytics techniques.
- Perform feature engineering, data enrichment, and data preparation to maximize model performance.
- Investigate new fraud schemes and proactively develop detection strategies.
- Collaborate closely with Fraud Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Product teams.
- Translate business challenges into scalable analytical and AI-driven solutions.
- Monitor, evaluate, and continuously optimize model performance.
- Contribute to the growth of AI-driven decision-making within the organization.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Data Science.
- Proven experience in fraud detection, risk analytics, financial crime, or related analytical domains.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Experience with Spark, Hadoop, or distributed data processing environments.
- Strong background in machine learning and advanced statistical methods.
- Experience with anomaly detection, graph analytics, network analysis, or behavioral analytics is highly valued.
- Experience deploying and maintaining AI solutions in production environments.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or another quantitative field.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
