About the Role

At Centric, we help some of the world’s most recognized fashion, beauty, and home brands decide what to stock, what to promote, and what to charge — and we help them do it with AI. As a (Senior) Data Scientist / Consultant, you’ll pair deep analytical expertise with a consulting mindset: building advanced models and working directly with the clients who rely on them, so your analysis ends in decisions that move the business.

It’s a strong fit if you enjoy solving hard problems, can explain a complex method in plain language, and like working with international teams to deliver solutions that break new ground.

What You’ll Do

Customer & Project Engagement

• Partner with project managers, consultants, and clients across the full arc of an onboarding project.
• Turn business processes and customer requirements into concrete data transformations and modelling approaches.
• Make technical concepts land with non-technical stakeholders clearly.

Data & Model Ownership

• Own the technical conversation: you are the go-to contact for data science and data engineering topics.
• Keep data flows accurate, stable, and well documented
• Design, prepare, and analyze A/B tests that settle open questions with evidence.
• Train and validate statistical and machine learning models that quantify what pricing, promotions, and inventory decisions really do to the business.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Prototype with product management and take the good ideas all the way to efficient, well-tested code in Python.
• Track project-specific effort and keep solution documentation reliable and complete.
• Align customers and partners on data formats and transmission schedules.

What You Bring

Must-Haves

• Excellent SQL skills and outstanding analytical instincts.
• 3+ years in data analytics, ideally in retail or consumer products.
• Hands-on experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy, Statsmodels).
• Strong communication skills in English, and the ability to make data concepts clear to a non-technical audience.
• A degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, physics, economics, or a related field.

Perfect-to-Haves

• Experience with big data environments such as PySpark.
• Familiarity with statistical modeling or behavioral price effects.
• Additional languages beyond English.
