About Braven

Braven is a national nonprofit that prepares promising college students to secure a strong first opportunity after college graduation through a career-accelerating program.

We work with higher education and employer partners to offer a life-changing experience that begins with a semester-long course for college students and continues with support through graduation.

Together, our ambition is to help rebuild the middle class and revitalize the American Dream.

About the Role

To achieve its ambition of serving 80,000-100,000 Fellows over the next decade, Braven is hiring a Senior Coordinator, Program Operations, who will support the Greater Dallas team in successfully running Braven’s Leadership & Career Accelerator course (the Accelerator). In this role, you will be part of the engine behind our work with at least one of our Higher Education Partners. This role will help ensure smooth program logistics and provide other administrative support as assigned.

This role is part of the regional team and reports directly to the Senior Director of the Dallas Region.

What You’ll Do

Coordinate Logistics for the Accelerator (80%)

  • Manage operations for Braven’s Career and Leadership Accelerator course sections at UNT with consistency and precision across sections
  • Coordinate in-person Learning Lab logistics, including space, materials, food, and other logistics
  • Provide live Zoom support during weekly Learning Lab execution, including breakout room management
  • Prepare weekly Fellow communications using the Weekly Email Fellow Templates, ensuring accurate links and inclusion of all region-specific announcements
  • Prepare weekly communications for stakeholders, ensuring accurate links and inclusion of all region-specific announcements
  • Support discussion board management in the course
  • Manage site inbox and maintain the program operations calendar for the site
  • Submit regular learning tracker feedback each Learning Lab cycle, capturing course observations, Fellow feedback, and suggestions for program improvement
  • Reconcile Fellow attendance across sections weekly, publish in the course, and proactively share attendance insights with the Associate Director, Program Success, and Facilitator to inform any needed interventions
  • Assign weekly Leadership Coach substitutes and share the weekly coverage report; serve as a Substitute Leadership Coach as needed
  • Project management of the Jira Accelerator Execution Project to ensure effective coordination across the site execution team
  • Provide coordination support for the weekly Learning Lab observation schedule via the Leadership Coach Support Tool
  • Complete all required central operations trainings and maintain working fluency in every central operations process, including the Leadership Coach substitute process, delegated inbox, Learning Lab attendance reconciliation, discussion boards, deck prep and accessibility, and event logistics

Support Regional Operations (15%)

  • Establish and maintain the DFW office management system — supply inventory, orders, catering, and room reservations, serving as a dependable resource for the full team
  • Deliver quarterly SCPO updates to the D/FW regional team on a consistent cadence, capturing Accelerator highlights, milestones, and areas of concern
  • Proactively build and maintain relationships with Braven’s central team stakeholders, sharing UNT context and bringing back insights that strengthen regional strategy
  • Execute and/or assist with ad-hoc program-related projects and tasks

Support Recruitment and Fellow Events (5%)

  • Serve as second-in-command for recruitment operations, administrative tasks, operational alignment with partner communications, event logistics, and systems inventory
  • During the academic year, support with high-traffic campus tabling events and activations each semester
  • During the summer, take a primary recruitment role across a high volume of events, including information sessions, tabling, and relationship-building with recruitment partners
  • Provide planning, execution, and on-site support for partner engagements, including summer engagements with partners

  • Execute and/or assist with ad-hoc program-related projects and tasks

Other duties as assigned.

Benefits

Compensation

Braven offers opportunities for salary growth over time. We believe in compensating staff members fairly relative to one another, their qualifications, and their impact on the organization, and we take internal and external equity seriously. Given our commitment to equity, Braven does not negotiate salary offers; instead, each offer is carefully determined using external and internal benchmarks.

The hiring range is determined by role scope, qualifications, and internal equity, with annual growth based on performance. Braven does not base compensation on individual candidate salary expectations and is committed to maintaining internal equity. The hiring ranges for this role by geographic market are set forth in Dallas at $47,000-$50,500. This is based on a 50-hour work week at an hourly rate. This is a full-time, regular, non-exempt, and benefits-eligible position where you will be working at 100% capacity.

Braven also provides competitive, comprehensive benefits, recognition, and career development. While Braven reserves the right to change benefits at any time, current benefits include:

  • Unlimited vacation time in addition to org-wide holidays and three team-wide, week-long shutdowns in Spring, Summer, and Winter (this is a minimum of 24 days per year)
  • Braven supports your path to parenthood and beyond with $25,000 in lifetime Carrot benefits for fertility, family-building, and hormonal health
  • Match of your 401K contribution up to 5% of your base annual salary, starting your first full month
  • Coverage of 85% of health insurance premium for employee and dependents
  • 12 weeks of paid parental leave
  • A one-month paid sabbatical after 4 years on staff

Please note that Braven is firm in its compensation philosophy; therefore, only candidates who believe our total rewards package aligns with what they are looking for in their next opportunity are encouraged to apply.

Location

We gather on-site three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and work remotely two days per week (though certain commitments may adjust this schedule from time to time). This is an in-person position, and the person must live in the Greater Dallas area. We believe in the magic, connection, and collaboration that happens when people work together face-to-face, and we believe in giving people flexibility to focus, balance personal priorities, and save themselves two commutes per week.

Braven is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected factor.  We encourage talented individuals of all backgrounds to apply.

Über Braven

The Problem

Before the pandemic, only 30% of the 1.3 million low-income or first-generation college students who enrolled each year graduated and secured a strong first job or entered graduate school. That’s more than 900,000 students every single year who weren’t on the path to the American Dream. Now, the number of students whose dreams have been deferred is even greater.

Our Mission

The mission of Braven is to empower promising, underrepresented young people—first-generation college students, students from low-income backgrounds, and students of color—with the skills, confidence, experiences and networks necessary to transition from college to strong first jobs, which lead to meaningful careers and lives of impact.

By partnering with large public universities who are working to innovate, Braven:

  • Builds cutting-edge career education into the undergraduate experience for low-income and first-generation college students
  • Provides students, who often feel disconnected from campus, with a network of supporters and sense of belonging
  • Becomes a systemic solution within and across universities to fuel a generation of leaders as diverse as our future demands

Our Impact

Braven Fellows are persisting in college and achieving exciting levels of job attainment. Our community of 3300 is seeing exciting success beyond graduation, and before that, on the path to college graduation and career.
