ABOUT THE JOB As a Senior Business Analyst within NAB, you’ll engage stakeholders to shape and break down initiatives for Agile Engineering squads, while managing prioritization of user stories with Product Owners and User Experience Teams. YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Serve as the primary liaison between the Domain, Technology and Business Product Owner • Work with the business to analyse business requirements and produce documented and approved specifications for any new or change to technology applications and/or business processes • Maximise the value being delivered by ensuring all features and stories are aligned to business value • Works with the Product Owner to refine the backlog of the team through prioritisation, estimation and decision making. • Supports Developers, Engineers and UX designers in understanding the requirements so they can deliver on their commitments. • Apply strong Business Analysis skills and methodologies to ensure that what is produced is aligned and value maximized for our customers • Engage and discuss with the related stakeholders on the status of a project, as well as constantly ensure the requirements are understood by the team • Assess existing processes to identify redesign or enhancement opportunities to deliver improved productivity or efficiency to the business • Represent the project team at workshops, presentations and other meetings as appropriate. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Must have • Previous experience as a Business Analyst (minimum 5 years) • Extensive experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with HCD techniques • Ability to communicate a product vision to key stakeholders and teams, and working with product owner to develop it into a shaped backlog of key features, epics stories and goals for individual sprints. • Comfortable leading workshops, in a cross functional business and IT team through the discovery, development and operational usage stage of change. • Ability to innovate, adapt and grasp new skills and content • Ability to work closely with key stakeholders and build collaborative partnerships • Proven analytical skills and evidence-based decision making Nice-to-have • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in IT, Business, Computer Science, or related area • Experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry • Any additional certification or training in BA, PO, UX or related area (e.g. PSPO, CSPO, CBAP) THE BENEFITS AND PERKS We appreciate and reward our colleagues who do great work every day – from excelling for our customers, to taking ownership of an issue to get it resolved.
