About the Role:
The Senior Analyst, Packaging Specifications & Systems will support the implementation, organization, and ongoing administration of Kinder’s packaging specification management processes and systems. This role will play a key part in building a reliable, centralized source of packaging technical data within TraceGains by partnering with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to collect, organize, validate, and maintain packaging specifications and supporting documentation.
This is a highly execution-oriented role requiring strong attention to detail, comfort working with technical data, and the ability to proactively coordinate across suppliers and internal teams. The Senior Analyst will help establish data integrity and scalable processes that support Packaging, Sourcing, Quality, Operations, and other cross-functional partners.
This will be a contract role with the term to be determined.
What You’ll Do:
- Enter, organize, and maintain high volumes of packaging specification data within TraceGains.
- Collect and upload supplier technical data sheets, packaging specifications, drawings, certifications, and supporting documentation.
- Review records for completeness and identify missing or inconsistent information.
- Communicate directly with suppliers to request outstanding documentation, clarify information, and follow up on open items.
- Maintain detailed trackers of specification status, supplier responses, missing documentation, and implementation progress.
- Support the cleanup, standardization, and migration of existing packaging data into TraceGains.
- Apply established naming conventions, data standards, and documentation requirements to maintain consistency across specification records.
- Partner with Packaging, Sourcing, Quality, and other internal stakeholders to resolve data gaps and obtain required information.
- Support system testing, data validation, and other activities associated with the TraceGains implementation.
- Assist with ongoing system administration and specification maintenance as implementation progresses
Skills + Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in data management, specification management, packaging, supply chain, sourcing, quality, or a related environment.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to accurately manage high volumes of data.
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to track multiple suppliers, documents, and outstanding requests simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Excel and experience working with databases, specification systems, PLM systems, or similar platforms.
- Experience with TraceGains or another specification/supplier management platform is a plus.
- Familiarity with packaging materials, terminology, technical specifications, or drawings is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable communicating with suppliers and proactively following up to obtain required information.
- Ability to identify incomplete or inconsistent information and escalate technical questions appropriately.
- Strong follow-through and ability to work independently within defined processes.
Pay Transparency
As a temporary employee, this role will pay $45-$50 per hour with a 40 hour work week at our Walnut Creek HQ.
