Join the Perpetual Corporate Trust AML Centre of Excellence and help maintain effective financial crime and tax compliance frameworks across the business.

As a Senior AML Analyst, you will monitor, assess and investigate prospective and existing customers to support compliance with AML/CTF, FATCA and CRS requirements. You will work across PCT business lines, applying legislation, internal policies and Perpetual Group’s risk appetite to complex customer and transaction matters.

Reporting to the Senior AML Manager, you will provide practical advice to internal teams, maintain accurate KYC records and support the continued improvement of financial crime controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate customer ownership structures to identify ultimate beneficial owners and related parties
• Complete customer risk assessments for prospective and existing customers
• Analyse transaction monitoring alerts and conduct detailed investigations
• Prepare high quality Unusual Matter Reports for review by the Senior AML Manager
• Conduct enhanced and ongoing customer due diligence using risk based and event driven approaches
• Review FATCA and CRS information and coordinate data for statutory submissions
• Advise internal teams on financial crime risks, regulatory obligations and complex escalations.

About you

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in risk, law, business, financial crime or a related discipline
• Three to five years’ experience in AML/CTF, KYC or fraud investigations
• ACAMS, ICA or an equivalent certification would be highly regarded, as would experience with complex entities and foreign clients.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CTF legislation, regulatory reporting and trust or company financial products
• Working knowledge of FATCA and CRS requirements
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex datasets and identify risks or patterns
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to analyse complex datasets and identify patterns or risks
• Experience with Fenergo and World Check, together with knowledge of funds, would be advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management
• Clear communication and stakeholder engagement skills
