Seasonal Holiday Part-Time Weekend Program

Saturday and Sundays required (Fridays optional)

Maximum 30 hours per week

1st shift: 5am to 1pm

2nd shift: 1pm to 9pm

3rd shift: 9pm to 5am

Starting wage $22/hr (2nd and 3rd shift receive an additional $2/hr shift premium)

This position performs a variety of duties in the packaging area of the Beaver Dam Facility. This position is tasked with material handling, the loading of packaging supplies into machinery, and the basic operation of cream cheese packaging equipment. This position must support all business systems (such as QCDSM, ISO, GMP’s) while working in a team environment.

Primary Role and Responsibilities:

• Load and unload items/supplies from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
• Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plants and warehouses, by hand or using hand trucks or powered lift trucks.
• Communicate and document the materials/products transported while providing traceability
• Break up defective products for reprocessing. Peeling rework and running the salvage press for continuous hours of your shift.
• Assist Operators with production runs – this can include but is not limited to start ups, changeovers, shutdowns, quality checks, sanitation, etc. 
• Operate the baler and trash compactor to dispose of unnecessary materials.
• Utilize barrel lift and wash out barrels used for finished goods.
• Getting Information — Observing, receiving, and otherwise acquiring information from all relevant sources and then Communicating with Supervisors and Peers — Providing information to supervisors, and co-workers by telephone, in written form, or in person. 
• Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. Making Decisions and Solving Problems — Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and tackle problems. 
• Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment — Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks. 
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications/Working Environment  

Ability to stand/walk consistently throughout the shift, kneel, crouch, stoop, twist or bend with frequent repetitive motions

Work in a temperature-controlled environment

Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Using your hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls 

Work in areas that sounds and noise levels can be distracting and uncomfortable 

Responsible to follow FSQ requirements such as GMP’s and other daily job specific duties to support KHMS

Must be flexible with scheduling – this position may require extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed

English Language Skills – Ability to speak, read, and write English

Must be able to wear common protective or safety equipment, such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, etc.
