 About The Role:
Are you excited about delivering the best Laundry experience to our guests and employees? This position may be the perfect fit for you! Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences New Orleans is seeking a Seamstress/Tailor to join our dynamic Laundry Team. As our seamstress or tailor, you will be responsible for keeping the appropriate inventory of Employee Uniforms, measuring, tailoring, and repairing employee uniforms, inspecting and repairing bedspreads, drapes, linens, and assisting guests with their sewing/tailoring needs. As our hotel is open 24/7, 365 days a year, we expect our Seamstress to be flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. We are looking for someone with excitement and dedication in serving our guests.

  

What You'll Do:  

• Maintain uniform inventory levels, measure and fit team members for uniforms, perform alterations, and ensure each garment is tailored for a professional and comfortable fit.  

• Inspect, repair, and alter uniforms, linens, draperies, bedspreads, and other hotel textiles to maintain the highest presentation and quality standards.  

• Provide sewing and tailoring services for both team members and guests, including repairs, custom alterations, and special sewing requests, including but not limited to : zipper replacements, button replacements, hem work and tailoring 

• This position also supports hotel operations through the repair and alteration of uniforms, linens, draperies, and other textiles while assisting guests with tailoring needs when required.   

• Support Laundry, Valet, and Housekeeping operations during periods of high business volume or as needed.   
  

  

What You Bring:  

• One to two years’ experience working in Laundry preferred 
• High level of attention to detail and the ability to multi-task 
• Work authorization in the United States  

  

What To Expect:

• Work a flexible schedule based on hotel occupancy and business needs, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with typical shifts occurring between 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
• Thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment where attention to detail and craftsmanship are essential to maintaining Four Seasons' luxury standards.
• Utilize specialized equipment and tools daily, including industrial sewing machines, embroidery machines, sergers, steamers, and irons to tailor, repair, and maintain employee uniforms and linens.
