The role of the Sales Operations Associate is a support function to the sales team, removing barriers to enable the sales organization to run effectively, efficiently and in support of business strategies and objectives.

The Sales Operations Associate, as part of the Sales Operations Team at Azenta Life Sciences, will work closely alongside the sales team and will assist in all support areas of sales. The successful applicant must have the ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely and effective manner and have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to assist internal and external personnel with inquiries, schedule and run meetings, as well as provide creative assistance with marketing and sales materials. This is a very fast-paced environment with a high volume of sales support needs. Excellent organizational skills are critical to this role.

What You’ll Do

• Communicate between sales representatives, sales management, leadership teams and SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) throughout the Sample and Repository Services (SRS) division, often working to support several sales opportunities and projects at once across multiple business units whilst ensuring the customer deadline is met.
• Manage daily pricing requests. Assist with the preparation of sales proposals, client communications/presentations and contract values.
• Complete RFPs (Requests for Proposal), including creation, coordination of information within SRS, completion, and submission.
• Ensure accurate proposals are completed in a timely manner according to department quality standards.
• Oversee database of proposal questions and answers and proposal content. Manage database to keep current and regularly re-evaluate efficiency for maximum productivity. Meet with SMEs and internal departments to ensure proposal objectives are met.
• Complete client Requests for Information (RFIs) and vendor forms, working with SMEs and using a bank of information and gaining approvals in a timely manner.
• Work with Legal, Finance, and business teams on the execution of customer agreements and terms and conditions and gaining the relevant business unit approvals.
• Responsible for maintaining client databases including contract management and confidentiality agreements.
• Client Purchase Order management and tracking.
• Create and maintain sales information for reporting when required.
• Assist with the preparation of sales overview presentations as needed.
• Contribute to a database of RFI and RFP. Provide sales team information from RFI and RFP database as requested.
• Attend regular meetings with sales, providing updates to the sales team as requested.
• Provide quality and efficient customer service to clients through the daily management of multiple client projects.
• Contributing to team discussions on process improvements. Responsible for suggesting methods to improve items such as sales processes and service to both internal and external customers.
• Provide support/training where required for sales and team members, relating to processes and systems where relevant.
• Assist with the analysis of potential and existing clients.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor's Degree preferred, ideally in Business, Finance, or Communication Degree.
• Experience in Life Science industry preferred.
• Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Goal orientated and collaborative style.
• High attention to detail.
• A team player with a high level of dedication.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in multicultural and/or global environments.
• Experience using a CRM program e.g., Salesforce.com.
• Must be able to collaborate with sales team, business unit peers and staff in other Azenta Life Sciences businesses.
• Excellent Communication Skills in English and German with confidence to communicate at all levels from sales representatives and managers.
• Willingness to travel and attend virtual meetings across time zones.
• Aligns priorities with customer needs and expectations.
• Demonstrates fairness, integrity, and confidentiality.
