Thales is hiring an experience Sales Engineer to join our Software Monetization (SM) team. The SM Sentinel solution portfolio provides software companies and intelligent device vendors with software licensing, download, protection, and entitlement management solutions.

In this customer-facing technical presales role, you will serve as the technical owner of the customer accounts providing guidance and leadership in the presales phase throughout the Americas region, covering a range of SMB and enterprise software protection solutions such as software licensing, download, protection, and entitlement management solutions.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Serve as the primary technical interface for prospective customers.
• Technical owner of the Pre-sales process, responsible for the customer's technical experience.
• Technical expert with "Sentinel product portfolio.
• Accompany sales managers on prospective customer visits and assist in discovery and the diagnosis of the opportunity
• Become the lead on RFI and RFP responses.
• Uncover and understand the customers’ business goals and how the technology meets those goals
• Define the success criteria and drive the customer during product evaluations to ensure success. 
• Support our Professional Services team in creating detailed solution designs, technical architecture, and process workflows on larger opportunities.
• Prepare, support, and present product presentations and demonstrations at marketing events.
• May be required to develop basic proofs-of-concept / code samples.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum of 8-12+ years of relevant work experience or Master’s degree in field with 6+ years of relevant work experience
• Proven track record of working in a technical consulting role supporting enterprise customers with complex technical solutions
• Broad IT knowledge, e.g. any experience with back-office systems, network protocols, web services, virtual environments, and OS like Windows, Linux, and Android will be an advantage
• An exposure to basic software development. Any experience in either C/C++, Java, or .NET will be a clear benefit
• Strong communication and presentation skills to present our solutions to our customers at any level of management
• Self-starter-mind-set with exceptional ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Ability to develop and maintain healthy customer relationships
• Travel to customer sites and workshops 10%-25% of the time

The reference Total Target Compensation (TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between

Total Target Cash (TTC) 172,945.50 - 288,242.50 USD Annual
