Über diese RPh Supervisor Stelle bei House Rx
House Rx is on a mission to make specialty medications more affordable and accessible for patients suffering from chronic illnesses like cancer and autoimmune disorders. We provide clinics with specialized technology and support from pharmacists and care coordinators to dispense medication directly to their patients, known as medically integrated dispensing (MID).
The RPh Supervisor leads House Rx’s distributed team of specialty pharmacists across the ONC, GI, and RA pods, consolidating pharmacist management under a single owner and driving consistent, high-quality clinical and operational performance. This role owns the pharmacist experience end to end — training and onboarding, daily coverage across pods, standardized workflows, and performance management — in a remote, multi-state specialty pharmacy environment.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Development
- In collaboration with the training team, develop a comprehensive pharmacist training program covering PV1/PV2 verification, prior authorization and appeals workflows, clinical review, dispensing, and pod-specific responsibilities.
- Own a structured onboarding path that moves new hires from the Onboarding tier through Scaling to Established, with defined ramp milestones and competency checks.
- Establish ongoing continuing education and periodic competency validation as workflows and payer requirements change.
- Track training completion and effectiveness, and iterate based on productivity and quality outcomes.
Coverage & Staffing Management
- Actively manage, rotate, and adjust daily pharmacist coverage across the ONC, GI, and RA pods based on real-time queue volume and complexity, using primary/secondary pod assignments, float, and travel RPh capacity.
- Monitor queue health daily and reallocate coverage to clear aging queues (RPh review, PA denial/appeal, PV1) before they breach turnaround targets.
- Plan ahead for PTO, absences, onsite dispensing obligations, and demand shifts; maintain cross-pod coverage contingencies.
- Serve as the escalation point for coverage gaps and partner with leadership on open pharmacist requisitions and travel-RPh needs.
Standardization & Process Ownership
- Define, document, and maintain SOPs for how pharmacists function day to day, driving consistency across pods and reducing performance variance.
- Standardize verification, PA/appeal, and clinical-review workflows so output and quality are comparable regardless of pod or assignment.
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and lead process improvements with cross-functional partners (care coordination, EHR/systems, clinical operations).
- Ensure all processes remain compliant with state and federal pharmacy regulations across the states in which pharmacists are licensed and practicing.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Coordinate and own a recurring monthly RPh meeting — agenda, updates, discussion, and action-item follow-through.
- Directly manage the pharmacist team: set expectations, conduct reviews, coach, and support career growth across experience tiers.
- Own the pharmacist performance framework — watch list, coaching, and formal performance plans — and drive struggling performers back to target with documented support.
- Own pharmacist-facing operational metrics and the individual/team incentive scorecard (e.g., PV1 TAT, appeal audit %, productivity, abandonment rate, new-order TAT, $/MD), and use them to guide coaching and coverage decisions.
Qualifications
Required
- Active, unrestricted Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license; PharmD or BS in Pharmacy.
- Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain licensure in multiple states as needed (multi-state remote practice).
- 5+ years of specialty pharmacy experience, including 2+ years in a lead, PIC, or supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated experience building training programs, defining SOPs, or leading process standardization.
- Proven ability to manage staffing/coverage across multiple teams in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
- Strong command of specialty pharmacy workflows: prescription and product verification, prior authorization, appeals, and clinical review.
Preferred
- Experience managing a remote or distributed pharmacist team.
- Experience in a pod-based or clinic-aligned specialty model (oncology, GI, rheumatology/autoimmune).
- Familiarity with specialty pharmacy platforms, queue-management tooling, and payer/PA systems.
