Job Title:

ROC Operations & Scheduling Manager

Pay Details:

The annual base salary range for this position in California is $90,000 to $115,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.

Owns the operational coordination of the OCVIBE Remote Operations Center (ROC) — both the scheduling of people and resources against the event calendar, and the technical scheduling and logistics of creative content delivery across all ROC disciplines. Keeps two things flowing: the crews and resources needed to run events, and the creative content from stakeholders that must be deployed across the ROC's technical systems on time and on the right surfaces. Acts as liaison between stakeholders, content creators, and ROC staff.

Responsibilities

  • Owns resource and crew planning across the ROC, assigning staff and contractors to events and shifts based on event requirements, technical needs, availability, and budget considerations

  • Evaluates event requirements and determines appropriate allocation of staff, contractors, and technical resources across ROC disciplines, resolving scheduling conflicts and adjusting plans as business needs change

  • Coordinates and manages the contractor labor pool across technical functions, assessing resource needs based on event complexity, workload, availability, and cost considerations

  • Maintains and oversees the master ROC event and production calendar, including events, load-in/load-out, rehearsals, activations, staffing requirements, and technical dependencies

  • Translates ROC operational priorities into staffing and resource plans, evaluating coverage, availability, competing priorities, and operational risks and making adjustments as needed

  • Owns the operational planning and technical coordination of creative content delivery across ROC disciplines, including deployment schedules, sequencing, technical routing, and resource requirements

  • Manages the operational pipeline for getting creative content event-ready, including intake timing, deployment scheduling, technical routing, and delivery to the appropriate technical teams and playback/display environments

  • Develops and adjusts content deployment plans against the run-of-show and event calendar, resolving timing and resource conflicts in partnership with technical managers

  • Identifies content-delivery risks and dependencies and develops solutions when assets, resources, or timelines may impact successful event execution; escalates significant issues as appropriate

  • Partners with stakeholders to develop project budgets and resource plans for content-related initiatives, evaluating crew, contractor, technical, and other resource requirements and providing recommendations to the Director, ROC Technical Operations

  • Analyzes operational data and trends, including utilization, contractor hours and spend, scheduling efficiency, and content-delivery performance, and recommends process and resource improvements

  • Develops and maintains ROC scheduling, resource-allocation, and content-delivery processes and workflows, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, cost effectiveness, communication, and event readiness

  • Serves as a primary operational point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders, addressing scheduling, resource, and content-delivery issues and escalating significant matters to ROC leadership as appropriate

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in production, media, business, operations, or a related field preferred

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in live entertainment, production operations, broadcast/media operations, or a related environment

  • Experience coordinating complex production schedules, resources, contractors, and competing operational priorities

  • Experience with Media Asset Management systems, metadata, media-delivery software, and associated media codecs

  • Experience with scheduling and trafficking programs

  • Knowledge of Pixera or Disguise Media servers a plus

  • Knowledge of Touchdesigner, Notch, Unreal Engine platforms a plus

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate priorities and develop practical solutions in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical leaders, creative stakeholders, contractors, and business partners

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent events and projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced live-entertainment environment

  • Ability to analyze resource requirements, operational data, budgets, and competing business needs and provide recommendations to leadership

  • Ability to troubleshoot, configure, and support media playback systems, including knowledge of Windows OS and Excel

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

  • Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures

  • Comfortable with heights and occasionally walking up to 6–7 miles in a day
