Job Summary

Responsible for the coordination of detection activities associated with unbilled revenue, including theft of service, while protecting the image of the New AEP.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

• Analyze market data to identify geographical locations for potential customer base involved in energy theft.
• Perform effective daily field audits to investigate and document theft.
• Assist in training new Revenue Protection Coordinators; provide and coordinate training internal departments to identify theft of service as well as associated policies and procedures.
• Prepare back billing and establish payment plans with customers.
• Develop reports and communicate results to supervisor to quantify productivity.
• Assist in fraud investigations and represent AEP in court as needed.
• Communicate and develop rapport with internal/external customers and agencies.

What We Are Looking For:

Education requirements are listed below:

Associates degree or equivalent four years experience performing field related work activities.

Work Experience requirement listed below:

• Perform as Revenue Protection Coordinator a minimum of three years' experience.
• Knowledge of theft of service laws.
• Knowledge of Fair Debt Act desirable.
• Working knowledge of current customer system and PC skills. Knowledge of accounting/billing experience.

Required License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below:

Must have excellent safety record and a valid driver's license.

Compensation Range:

$74,551.00 - $93,188.00

The Physical Demand Level for this job is: M – Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.   Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
