Overview
The Retail & Commercial Interface Manager is responsible for managing all retail and commercial activities across the metro network, ensuring seamless integration between commercial operations and metro service delivery. The role will oversee commercial interfaces, maximize asset utilization, support revenue generation initiatives, manage commercial agreements, and provide strategic advice to the client on commercial risks and opportunities.
Your role
- Oversee retail and commercial interfaces with metro operations to ensure commercial activities align with operational requirements and passenger experience objectives.
- Support the identification, development, and management of commercial opportunities across metro stations, depots, and associated assets to optimize revenue generation and asset utilization.
- Lead the management, administration, and monitoring of commercial agreements, leases, licenses, and contracts with retailers, advertisers, and commercial partners.
- Coordinate closely with Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contractors to ensure effective execution of retail, advertising, and commercial activities within the metro environment.
- Develop, implement, and maintain commercial management plans, policies, and procedures to support the project's commercial objectives.
- Monitor commercial performance, revenue streams, occupancy rates, and key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and business targets.
- Advise the client on commercial strategies, revenue optimization initiatives, contractual matters, commercial risks, and mitigation measures.
- Prepare and present regular reports on retail and commercial activities, including performance analysis, revenue forecasts, commercial issues, and strategic recommendations.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement with internal teams, operators, tenants, government authorities, and commercial partners to ensure successful delivery of commercial objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety requirements, and contractual obligations related to retail and commercial operations within the metro network.
- Support the procurement and tendering processes for commercial concessions, retail spaces, and advertising opportunities.
About you
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commercial Management, Real Estate, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree or professional certification is desirable.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in commercial management, retail operations, asset management, or concessions management, preferably within transportation, metro, rail, aviation, or large infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of commercial leasing, contract management, revenue generation models, and retail operations.
- Experience managing stakeholder interfaces across public sector clients, operators, contractors, and commercial tenants.
