Contract No. HY/2024/09 – Provision of Universal Accessibility Facilities at Footbridges, Elevated Walkways and Subways – Package 8 Contract 1

AtkinsRealis Asia Limited invites applications for the following Resident Site Staff position. The proposed works mainly involved in construction of the following main items:

• Construction of forty-six (46) lifts for twenty-two (22) existing footbridges, one (1) elevated walkway and six (6) subways located in Sai Kung District, Tuen Mun District, Kwun Tong District, Wong Tai Sin District, Kowloon City District, Sham Shui Po District, Kwai Tsing District, Sha Tin District, Tsuen Wan District, Tai Po District, North District, South District and Eastern District; and

• undefined

• Associated with (a) above, civil works, geotechnical works, electrical and mechanical works, roads and drainage works, modification works for the existing walkways, landscaping works, lighting works and environmental mitigation measures, etc.

The works contract in New Engineering Contract (NEC) form was commenced in Q3 2024 for completion in Q2 2028.

Your role

• Provision of relevant technical support to RSS at professional ranks or above in the delivery of their duties of the representative or delegate of the Project Manager, Supervisor, Engineer, Architect, Surveyor, and/or Supervising Officer as appropriate under works contracts as assigned by the Consultants*/Consultant*.
• Collaboration with other RSS ranks for delivery of works contracts and the project in safe, efficient and cost effective manner with good quality Ÿ Management of RSS subordinates.
• Other duties related to this consultancy, works contracts or the project as may be assigned by the head of the RSS team, their supervisors, RSS at professional ranks or above and the Consultants*/Consultant* from time to time.

About you

Resident Works Supervisor Class II (Ref No.: UA8C1_RWSII)

Candidates should have:

• Certificate from Construction Industry Council in Hong Kong / Hong Kong Institute of Construction / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education / Technical Institute / Technical College / Polytechnic University or equivalent in an appropriate discipline; or

• Completed a recognised technician apprenticeship in an appropriate discipline; or

• Successfully completed a recognised craft apprenticeship with two years’ experience as a skilled worker in appropriate discipline; or

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a skilled worker in appropriate discipline.

Remark

• The job requirement of the above positions should be referred to the minimum qualification and minimum experience listed in Appendix 7.4 of the RSS Management Handbook.
• The possession of a Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate or equivalent certification is required for the above positions.
• For all technical and clerical ranks (except RWSI, RWSII and RCA), the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE / HKCEE or equivalent shall be met unless otherwise recommended by the Consultant and accepted by the managing department for special cases with justifications recommended by the Consultant.
• For the purpose of determination on whether to meet the language proficiency requirements for the technical and clerical ranks only, Grade C and Grade E in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to Level 3 and Level 2 respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
• For the purpose of determination on whether to meet the minimum academic qualification required for the relevant clerical ranks only, “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE.
• Appointment will be made on contract term in accordance with the prevailing Government’s conditions and terms applicable for Resident Site Staff. The incumbents will be required to work irregular hours, overtime and shifts (including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays).
