Seeking Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and related-discipline majors for Spring, Summer and Fall terms in 2027!

POSITION SUMMARY:

DuBois Chemicals is seeking Research & Development (R&D) Co-ops and Interns to ensure the highest level of service to all internal/external customers. Responsible to lead, execute, and deliver support growth and profitability initiatives. Deliver meaningful results while aligning with customer experience strategies and corporate standards. Demonstrate the company’s core competencies of communication, customer focus, innovation, integrity & ethics, lean & safety, and passion to succeed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Organize and physically prepare testing and process activities related to product applications, product evaluations, and customer product application support.

• Collaborate with Chemists, R & D Managers, and other R & D team members in the surface finishing laboratory in chemical product formulation and testing.

• Design application systems to pretreat metals.

• Effectively work within an industrial lab environment.

• Provide technical assistance with customers, sales representatives, and others.

• Effectively complete process work orders and the support of customer operations.

• Effectively enter test results in the database to be used by others.

• Maintain laboratory data bases.

• Conduct research on business development projects or research related duties as assigned by R & D Manager.

• Maintain laboratory space in safe operating order.

• Consistent with our culture of continuous learning, participate in self-development activities related to your job function or functions assigned by manager.

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

MINUMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Pursuant of bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Applied Science from an accredited university/college with a co-op or internship program

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Minimum first year chemistry lab skills required.

• Basic understanding of operation of equipment within the laboratory.

• Experience with ISO9001 requirements is desired.
