The Technical Sales Support is responsible for providing technical expertise to sales representatives, resellers and customers during the sales process. Responsible for the development and use of a set of software tools to improve the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of Quotations, Orders and Order Changes.

This position reports to the Commercial Manager, SEA and ANZ and is part of the SEA Commercial Team, located in Thailand, and will be a remote role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Drive business growth across Southeast Asia and Australia/New Zealand by identifying and developing new sales opportunities for Molecular Devices’ industry-leading instrument portfolio.

• Partner with leading researchers, universities, and life science organizations to support groundbreaking scientific discoveries and innovation.

• Deliver technical expertise through customer consultations, product demonstrations, seminars, workshops, and distributor training programs.

• Build and strengthen strategic customer relationships by providing application and scientific support that enables customer success and product adoption.

• Influence market expansion strategies by monitoring industry trends, customer needs, and competitive activities while contributing to accurate sales forecasting and account planning.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or related discipline.

• 2-5 years of experience in technical sales, field applications, product specialist, or scientific support within life sciences, biotech, or analytical instrumentation.

• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage researchers, distributors, and key decision-makers across SEA & ANZ

• Experience working with distribution and channel partners, including providing technical support, training, and joint customer engagement to drive pipeline development and business growth.

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify market opportunities, understand customer application needs, and support strategic account development in a complex sales environment.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environmental Requirements:

• Ability to travel – 10-20% time travelling across SEA / ANZ

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience selling or supporting scientific instruments, imaging systems, automation, or laboratory technologies with track record of supporting customer demonstrations, evaluations, workshops, or tender activities.

• Knowledge of cell culture, organoids, high-content imaging, drug discovery, or related workflows.
