The Regional Manager, Regional Echocardiography Liaisons (REL), is responsible for leading, developing, and coaching a team of Regional Echocardiography Liaisons within a designated geographic region. This role partners closely with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Medical Excellence, Medical Performance & Outcomes, and other cross-functional stakeholders to execute field medical strategy, support scientific initiatives, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, compliant medical education.

The Regional Manager fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and scientific excellence while supporting the professional development and success of the REL team.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management

• Recruit, lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Regional Echocardiography Liaisons.

• Conduct regular field rides, coaching sessions, and performance discussions to support ongoing development.

• Establish individual development plans and provide timely, constructive feedback.

• Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.

• Manage colleague performance, engagement, retention, and succession planning.

Business & Operational Leadership

• Execute field medical strategy within the assigned region.

• Monitor team performance against established objectives and key performance indicators.

• Ensure accurate documentation of field medical activities, insights, and impact stories.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize territory planning, account prioritization, and resource utilization.

• Identify opportunities to improve team processes, efficiencies, and field execution.

Scientific & Medical Leadership

• Ensure RELs deliver objective, balanced, and scientifically accurate medical information regarding disease state education and company-supported scientific data.

• Support the development and implementation of educational resources, scientific content, onboarding materials, and ongoing training initiatives.

• Maintain scientific expertise in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), echocardiography, and related disease states to effectively coach and develop the team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner effectively with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Medical Information, Medical Communications, Compliance, Legal, Medical Excellence, Analytics, and other matrix partners.

• Support cross-functional educational initiatives and strategic projects.

• Serve as a medical resource for internal stakeholders when appropriate.

Compliance

• Ensure all field medical activities are conducted in accordance with BMS policies, FDA regulations, and all applicable healthcare compliance requirements.

• Reinforce appropriate ways of working and compliance expectations across the REL team.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Education

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a cardiac sonographer.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry or a minimum of 2 years of people management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

• Previous field medical leadership or people management experience.

• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.

• Strong understanding of echocardiography, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), and cardiovascular disease.

• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to travel approximately 50–70% of the time to support direct reports through field rides, attend company meetings, congresses, and other business-related activities.

The starting pay range(s) listed above is for full-time employees (FTE). You may also be eligible for additional discretionary incentive cash and stock opportunities. We determine starting pay thoughtfully – carefully considering the nature of the role, required skills, work location, schedule and the knowledge and experience you bring. Final compensation is guided by pay equity principles and applicable employment laws. Compensation programs are reviewed on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted over time to reflect evolving market factors, and individual, team or Company performance.

U.S.-based exempt employees are eligible for Flexible Time Off (FTO), which provides paid time off without a set accrual limit, subject to manager approval, along with 11 paid company holidays each year.

Non-exempt employees, RayzeBio employees, and employees located in Puerto Rico receive 160 hours of paid vacation annually for new hires (subject to manager approval), 11 paid company holidays, and 3 optional holidays.

Depending on eligibility, employees may also have access to additional time-off benefits, including paid sick leave, up to two paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, and leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, or military needs. Eligible employees also enjoy an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
