Job Description Summary:

At The Coca‑Cola Company, we create brands and experiences that refresh the world—and that starts with efficient, safe, and well‑maintained facilities. As a Refrigeration Maintenance Technician II in our Auburndale manufacturing plant, you’ll help keep production running by maintaining and troubleshooting ammonia refrigeration, boiler, air, water, and electrical systems. This role supports the reliable operation of the equipment that drives our ability to deliver quality beverages every day. You’ll work alongside a skilled team that values safety, precision, and collaboration—all contributing to Coca‑Cola’s purpose of making a positive difference through every bottle we produce.

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot plant ammonia refrigeration systems with a focus on safe practices and operational reliability.
  • Maintain and repair boilers, condensate return systems, and steam distribution networks supporting production needs.
  • Operate and troubleshoot water treatment systems including nano- and RO filtration technologies to sustain high-quality standards.
  • Maintain compressed air systems up to 600 psi, ensuring stable pressure and air purity across facility operations.
  • Support HVAC, exhaust, and make-up air equipment to maintain consistent climate control and air quality.
  • Maintain fire protection systems and ensure compliance with safety and inspection requirements.
  • Restore power and utilities including 460 VAC electrical distribution systems following outages, supporting plant recovery and uptime.
  • Serve as an active member of the Hazardous Chemical Response Team and maintain readiness through regular drills and certifications.
  • Utilize computer-based software and automation platforms for system monitoring and operational control.
  • Contribute to the Process Safety Management (PSM) program to uphold compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work orders, history tracking, and labor documentation.
  • Train peers and new maintenance associates in technical skills and safety awareness, fostering team growth and collaboration.
  • Demonstrate maintenance processes and safety protocols to internal and external visitors as needed.
  • Safely operate forklifts, Genie booms, and other plant equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Travel to other Coca‑Cola facilities as required to support regional maintenance initiatives and knowledge sharing.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED, equivalent technical experience may be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of industrial plant maintenance experience involving anhydrous ammonia refrigeration and/or HVAC systems.
  • Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) certification or higher required within six months of hire.
  • Experience with boilers, compressed air (up to 600 PSI), wastewater treatment, water purification including RO and nano-filtration, electrical systems (up to 460V), piping systems, and hydraulics preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and equipment specifications.
  • Skilled in diagnosing mechanical systems through auditory and visual inspection, identifying potential equipment issues.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing work on elevated surfaces or in temperature and noise extremes.
  • Must pass annual physical and respiratory testing to meet safety compliance standards.
  • Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems.
  • Fluent in English with ability to read, write, and comprehend technical and safety documentation.
  • Willingness to work eight- or twelve-hour shifts (day or night), including weekends, overtime, holidays, and plant shutdowns based on production requirements.
  • Commitment to adhere to all Coca‑Cola safety and quality standards, including hazardous chemical handling procedures.

What We’ll Do for You

  • Offer continuous access to advanced training in manufacturing automation, refrigeration technology, and safety systems to enhance your professional growth.
  • Support your development through exposure to the latest equipment and technology innovations across Coca‑Cola’s regional production network.
  • Empower you to contribute meaningfully to our sustainability goals by maintaining safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible facility operations.
  • Provide opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams that value shared learning, technical excellence, and problem‑solving innovation.
