Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our team in Sydney. This is a full 360° recruitment role: you will both win new client business and personally deliver the recruitment mandates you bring in, managing the entire process end to end. This is an excellent opportunity for a recruitment professional who wants ownership over both the business development and delivery sides of the desk, with a clear path towards a future leadership role within our organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Acquisition:
- Identify, prospect and win new clients for our Talent service line, focusing on SMEs across Australia and Asia Pacific.
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients through market research, networking, outreach and industry events.
- Pitch and negotiate recruitment mandates, agreeing scope, terms and fees with new and existing clients.
- Represent Australiance Group at events and networking opportunities to build the Talent brand and generate new business.
Recruitment Delivery:
- Manage the full recruitment cycle for your own client mandates: briefing, sourcing, screening, interviewing and shortlisting candidates.
- Coordinate the interview process between candidates and clients, and manage offer negotiation through to placement.
- Build and maintain a strong network and talent pipeline across the Australian and Asia Pacific markets.
- Ensure a high-quality candidate experience and a 5-star service standard throughout the recruitment process.
Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and candidates to encourage retention, repeat business and referrals.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Community, Access) to identify cross-selling opportunities across the group's service lines.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on hiring strategy and market/salary trends.
International & Market Expertise:
- Support clients with an international dimension to their hiring needs, leveraging Australiance Group's presence in France and Africa where relevant.
- Stay across market trends, salary benchmarks and talent availability in your areas of specialisation.
Requirements
- ~5+ years' experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, ideally in a 360° (business development + delivery) agency role.
- Proven track record of winning new clients and successfully delivering recruitment mandates.
- Based in Sydney, with strong knowledge of the local talent market.
- French speaking required (or a very strong plus), given regular collaboration with our France-based teams and clients.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, hunter mentality, and strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience working with founders or SMEs is a plus.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and manage multiple stakeholders (clients and candidates) simultaneously.
- Enthusiastic, sociable, proactive, and eager to grow into a leadership role within the Talent service line.
Benefits
- Be part of a fast-growing company with a global impact.
- Full ownership of your desk, from business development through to delivery.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals passionate about having an immediate but long-lasting impact on our clients and partners.
- Opportunities for career progression, with a path towards a senior/leadership role.
- Flexible working environment and supportive company culture.
- A great office in the Sydney CBD, just a 5-minute walk from Wynyard station.
