The Receptionist is responsible for the front desk operations of a healthcare facility. Your role will involve greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and maintaining patient records. The Receptionist ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for patients and supports the medical team with several administrative tasks. Typically work on routine and patterned assignments.The Receptionist welcomes patients and offers administrative support within a physician practice or center. This may include the following responsibilities:
- Greet Patients: Welcome patients and visitors, both in person and over the phone.
- Schedule Appointments: Manage appointment calendars, schedule patient visits, and coordinate with medical staff to improve schedules.
- Patient Records: Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy. Work in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- Billing and Payments: Ensure patient accounts are updated correctly. May include collecting copay at time of visit.
- Inquiries and Communication: Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide general information.
- Office Management: Ensure the reception area is tidy, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary materials.
- Administrative Support: Help with other administrative tasks, such as ordering supplies, managing office inventory, and sending courier packages.
The supervisor limits decisions to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and oversees work and within established practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Development
- 1 year or more of experience working in a Healthcare setting preferred, but will consider candidates with a Customer Service background in Retail Hospitality and Call Centers.
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving patient experiences and care
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
- Team player
- Highly organized
- Proficient in MS Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Value-based care model experience
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Additional Information:
The company considers this role patient-facing and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
