Work Shift

Overview:

Sentara Rockingham Medical Center Hahn Cancer Center is hiring a Radiation Therapist - Flexi Schedule

Days, 8- 16 hrs per pay period – 8 hr shifts M-F

Provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist according to established practices and standards. Duties may include but are not limited to:

•    Deliver external beam radiotherapy to include (3D, IMRT, SRS/SBRT)
•    Deliver brachytherapy treatment
•    Perform patient simulations; preparing equipment, such as immobilization, treatment, and

protection devices
•    Reviewing patient records for accuracy 
•    Acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel
•    Maintaining patient records, reports, and files

All new graduates will remain Radiation Therapist I for the first 2 years of employment and are required to pass boards within 6 months of hire.

Education

• Associates degree Radiation Therapy (Required)

Certification/Licensure

• ARRT Radiation Therapy (T) - Certifications
• BLS

Experience

• Prior related experience is Preferred
