VIANEX S.A., the leading Greek pharmaceutical company, is looking to hire an R&D Formulation Manager for its state-of-the-art R&D Center, based in Patras.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing formulation development activities for generic pharmaceutical products across different dosage forms, from laboratory-scale development through scale-up and technology transfer.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee formulation development activities for generic pharmaceutical products across different dosage forms.
• Design and develop robust formulations based on QTPP, CQAs, target product characteristics and regulatory requirements.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise formulation development trials from laboratory scale through scale-up and technology transfer.
• Lead formulation optimization activities and support the optimization of manufacturing process parameters.
• Coordinate the preparation, review and maintenance of formulation development protocols, reports and records.
• Ensure that formulation development activities are conducted in accordance with applicable GMP requirements, ICH guidelines, pharmacopoeial requirements and internal procedures.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of formulation development approaches, processes and laboratory practices.
• Coordinate multiple formulation development projects, ensuring alignment with established timelines and development objectives.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams throughout the pharmaceutical development process.

Qualifications & Experience

• BSc or MSc Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• 5–7 years of relevant professional experience in pharmaceutical formulation development, with proven experience in a similar position.
• Proven experience in the development of generic pharmaceutical products and formulation optimization.
• Experience with different pharmaceutical dosage forms, including immediate-release, modified-release, oral solutions and ODTs.
• Proven experience in scale-up, process optimization and technology transfer from laboratory to manufacturing scale.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate multiple development projects within defined timelines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
