Quality Analyst

18 Months Fixed Term Contract  

Location: Edinburgh (We believe in the power of in-person collaboration, and our hybrid model requires colleagues to be in the office a minimum of 40% of their time)  

Salary: A competitive salary from £43,120 – £64,680 depending on the experience you can bring

We're looking for an experienced Quality Analyst to join our Transformation team and support a strategic business migration programme, delivered in collaboration and partnership with our delivery partners.

This is a fixed-term role to support the delivery of a specific project and is expected to run for approximately 18 months from November 2026.

Reporting to the Transformation Programme Manager, with a dotted reporting line into the Transformation Programme Director, you'll provide input, support and oversight across a complex strategic business migration programme involving multiple stakeholders, technical teams and delivery partners. You'll play an important supporting role in helping to ensure that the migration is delivered to appropriate expectations and quality standards and safely and in line with agreed scope, budgets and timelines.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide oversight of our delivery partners test plans and test execution results across their full delivery lifecycle(s).
• Support and maintain the Aegon Quality Plan for oversight of our delivery partners performance. 
• Support Aegon’s oversight of the strategic business migration programme, working closely with our delivery partners and internal Aegon stakeholders.
• Provide input and support for clear, timely reporting on programme risks, issues, dependencies and constraints and overall delivery performance, whilst also ensuring timely engagement with relevant stakeholders.
• Support the establishment and embedding of effective assurance disciplines across the programme, including supporting audits, reviews and delivery health assessments.
• Provide input and support to regular reviews with programme teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders to monitor delivery progress and help drive effective oversight.
• Provide input and support to ensure appropriate oversight governance and controls are maintained throughout the programme lifecycle.
• Build collaborative and effective relationships with our business, technology, delivery partners and suppliers to support successful programme delivery oversight.
• Promote a positive, collaborative and delivery-focused culture.
• Ensure adherence with all relevant regulatory obligations, company policies, standards and risk management requirements.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Experience of test delivery, assurance and oversight within a varied and diverse portfolio of delivery projects / programmes (both within and out with the Financial Services sector).
• Experience of working to relevant industry standards and frameworks with a good appreciation and understanding of delivery lifecycle methodologies, programme governance and test quality assurance frameworks.
• Experience of working with third party suppliers and strategic delivery partners.
• Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at the relevant levels of an organisation.
• General commercial and financial management awareness, including budget forecasting and cost control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance delivery priorities and oversight requirements.
• Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
• A positive and collaborative one-team mindset and attitude.

• We’re serious about your future and our enhanced pension scheme is now in place.  We ask you to contribute 3% of your salary to your pension and we’ll put in 9%.  If you decide to contribute more, we’ll match it up to a combined total of 20% of your salary (that’s 7% from you and 13% from us).
